I learned to prepare this recipe when I lived in Spain, to enjoy a tastier and more appetizing flavor, this recipe is usually decorated with: serrano ham, cucumber, egg and a touch of olive oil... Let's get started!
- Buenas noches amigos de hivefood, les deseo un maravilloso fin se semana! A continuación, les explicaré "paso a paso" como realizar un "delicioso salmorejo con jamón serrano". Ésta receta la aprendí a preparar cuando vivía en España, para disfrutar de un sabor MÁS sabroso y apetitoso, ésta receta se suele decorar con: jamón serrano, pepino, huevo y un toque de aceite de oliva... Empecemos!
- INGREDIENTS: 6 ripe tomatoes, 1 clove of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, serrano ham, bread (preferably the day before), boiled egg, cucumber and salt.
- INGREDIENTES: 6 tomates maduros, 1 diente de ajo, aceite de oliva extra vírgen, jamón serrano, pan (preferiblemente del día anterior), huevo sancochado, pepino y sal.
- We add the tomatoes to the blender glass, along with the garlic clove. It is NOT necessary to extract the seeds or the skin, since we are going to strain them later... We blend at maximum power.
- Incorporamos al vaso de la licuadora los tomates, junto con el diente de ajo, NO hace falta extraer las semillas ni la piel, ya que luego vamos a colar... Licuamos a máxima potencia.
- We integrate the tomatoes into a bowl, strain... In this step, we add the bread, I suggest that you use the bread from the previous day, it is important to use a type of bread that has more crumbs than crust. We apply pressure with a silicone spatula, until completely covered. We let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Integramos en un bowl los tomates, colamos... En éste paso, añadimos el pan, les sugiero que utilicen el pan del día anterior, es importante utilizar un tipo de pan que tenga más miga que corteza. Ejercemos presión con una espátula de silicón, hasta cubrir por completo. Dejamos reposar durante 5 minutos.
- We add the bread to the blender glass along with the tomato, we blend until we get a homogeneous mixture without lumps, in this step we add the salt.
- Añadimos al vaso de la licuadora el pan junto con el tomate, licuamos hasta conseguir una mezcla homogénea y sin grumos, en éste paso colocamos la sal.
- Next, we add the "extra virgin" olive oil, it is important to add it in the form of threads, in my case I used 5 heaping tablespoons.
- A continuación, añadimos el aceite de oliva "extra vígen", es importante agregarlo en forma de hilos, en mi caso utilicé 5 cucharadas colmadas.
- We were left with this beautiful color!

- It is important to leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes so that it reaches the ideal temperature, since this dish is eaten cold. We plate it, placing as a garnish: cucumber, boiled egg and serrano ham (finely cut). We add a touch of olive oil... Our healthy and nutritious dish will be ready to enjoy!
- Es importante dejar en la nevera durante 30 minutos para que adquiera la temperatura ideal, ya que este plato se consume frío. Emplatamos, colocando como guarnición: pepino, huevo sancochado y jamón serrano (finamente cortados). Incorporamos un toquesito de aceite de oliva... Nuestro saludable y nutritivo platillo estará listo para disfrutar!
