An afternoon of fried empanadas [Esp/Eng].

Hi @liketu and @hivefood friends, today I was with my kids in the kitchen and they asked me that they wanted to eat some empanadas for a snack. And so I decided to share with you the recipe through some pictures from the dapp #liketu, since it is a pretty easy and quick recipe to make.

As I tell you, it is a simple recipe to prepare, it takes:

1 1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
20 ml of oil and
1/2 cup of warm water.

Procedure

Place the flour in a bowl and incorporate the other ingredients, it is always good to have a little more warm water in case it is necessary, mix and then on the floured table proceed to knead until the dough is smooth.

Let it rest for half an hour, then cut the dough into pieces and proceed with the rolling pin to stretch each portion and fill it with the ingredient that we like, in my case I filled some empanadas with cheese and others with fish that my children like very much.

After closing them with a fork we press all the edge so that they are well closed and the filling does not come out when they are cooked.

With that ready, the only thing left to do is to fry or grill them according to your taste, the kids like them fried, so I prepared them that way.

These empanadas can be made large or small, depending on what you want them for. They are good for lunchboxes, snacks, appetizers and even for breakfast and dinner. They can also be filled with any kind of filling.

Hola amigos de @liketu y @hivefood, hoy me encontraba con mis hijos en la cocina y me pidieron que querían comerse unas empanadas de merienda. Y así que decidí compartir con ustedes la receta a través de unas fotografías desde la dapp #liketu, ya que es una receta bastante fácil y rápida de hacer.

Como les digo, es una receta sencilla de preparar, lleva:

1 1/2 taza de harina de trigo
1/2 cucharadita de sal
1/2 cucharada de azúcar
20 ml de aceite y
1/2 taza de agua tibia.

Procedimiento

Colocamos en un bol la harina e incorporamos los demás ingredientes, siempre es bueno tener un poco más de agua tibia por si es necesario, mezclamos y luego sobre la mesa enharinada procedemos a amasar hasta que la masa este suave.

Dejamos reposar media hora, luego cortamos la masa en pedazos y procedemos con el rodillo a estirar cada porción y lo rellenamos con el ingrediente que más nos guste, en mi caso rellene unas empanadas con queso y otras con pescado que a mis hijos les gusta mucho.

Después de cerrarlas con un tenedor presionamos todo el borde para que queden bien cerradas y no se salga el relleno cuando se cocinen.

Con eso listo, ya queda solo de freírlas o asarlas según su gusto, a los niños les gustan fritas, así que se las prepare de esa forma.

Estas empanadas las pueden hacer grandes o pequeñas, depende para que las quiera. Son buenas para la lonchera, para merendar, para pasapalos y hasta para desayunar y cenar. Además pueden ponerle todo tipo de relleno.
