Me llamo Cyntia Peralta Barquin, tengo 24 años y soy cubana. Nací el 23 de noviembre de 1998, en provincia Habana, municipio Arroyo Naranjo. Me defino como una persona responsable, luchadora y optimista. No me gustan las mentiras y las injusticias. Soy sagitario un signo de fuego, lo cual se define como un signo amante a la libertad y muy generoso siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demás. Me gusta escuchar música solo en fiestas y de viaje por eso no tengo un estilo de música preferido. Soy amante a las novelas brasileñas y series españolas. Mi actor favorito es Brad Pitt. Si de bailar se trata bailo solo en fiestas con mis amigos, me encantan las fiestas y compartir con amistades, pareja y familiares. Tengo pasión por los animales, pero en especial por los perros, son tan fieles y cariñosos que es inevitable no amarlos.
My name is Cyntia Peralta Barquin, I am 24 years old and I am Cuban. I was born on November 23, 1998, in Havana province, Arroyo Naranjo municipality. I define myself as a responsible person, a fighter and an optimist. I don't like lies and injustices. I am a Sagittarius, a fire sign, which is defined as a freedom loving sign and very generous, always willing to help others. I like to listen to music only at parties and on the road, that's why I don't have a preferred style of music. I love Brazilian soap operas and Spanish series. My favorite actor is Brad Pitt. When it comes to dancing I dance alone at parties with my friends, I love parties and sharing with friends, partners and family. I have a passion for animals, but especially for dogs, they are so loyal and affectionate that it is inevitable not to love them.
Me considero una persona romántica y detallista, por lo que si tengo una pareja me encanta que sea igual. Para mí en una relación de pareja lo primero que debe existir es el respeto y la confianza, a la vez que una de las dos se quiebra se puede dar la relación por rota. La persona más importante en mi vida para mi es mi mama, ella ha sido el motor impulsor además siempre me ha apoyado en todas mis decisiones. Soy una mujer segura y madura. Algún día me gustaría viajar por el mundo, mis países predilectos para visitar serian España, Italia y Australia. Otra cosa que me encantan son los niños y aunque hasta ahora no tengo hijos, sueño con un día convertirme en madre pero quiero estar preparada para ello. Otra de mis pasiones es la cocina, hago todo tipo de comida incluyendo postres, entrantes y algún día espero crear mi propio restaurante. Hablo más menos el idioma inglés, de hecho estoy en un curso para superarme. Me encanta el mar, las aventuras, la vida en el campo y los deportes al aire libre. Solo se montar bicicletas y motos, pero algún día me gustaría manejar carros o camionetas.
I consider myself a romantic and detail-oriented person, so if I have a partner I love to be the same. For me in a couple relationship the first thing that must exist is respect and trust, once one of the two breaks the relationship can be considered broken. The most important person in my life for me is my mother, she has been the driving force and has always supported me in all my decisions. I am a confident and mature woman. Someday I would like to travel around the world, my favorite countries to visit would be Spain, Italy and Australia. Another thing I love are children and even though I don't have children so far, I dream of one day becoming a mother but I want to be prepared for it. Another passion of mine is cooking, I make all kinds of food including desserts, starters and someday I hope to create my own restaurant. I speak more or less English, in fact I am in a course to improve myself. I love the sea, adventures, country life and outdoor sports. I only know how to ride bicycles and motorcycles, but someday I would like to drive cars or trucks.
Soy ingeniera geóloga me gradué en el año 2022, comencé mis estudios en el año 2016 en la Universidad de Pinar del Rio. Esos cinco años han sido una de las mejores etapas de mi vida, ya que hice más que amigos una familia a la que voy a recordar por el resto de mi vida. Allí en Pinar del Rio conocimos hermosísimos lugares, incluso reservas de la biosfera, áreas protegidas y lugares históricos. Mi carrera universitaria me gusta porque es la ciencia que se encarga de estudiar los procesos endógenos y exógenos de la Tierra, a pesar de que tiene varias ramas e inclino más por la geoquímica, de hecho mi tesis de grado se tituló: Caracterización geólogo-geoquímica del Terreno Pinos, Isla de la Juventud, lo cual obtuve la máxima puntuación y la convertí en un artículo científico.
I am a geological engineer, I graduated in 2022, I began my studies in 2016 at the University of Pinar del Rio. Those five years have been one of the best stages of my life, since I made more than friends, a family that I will remember for the rest of my life. There in Pinar del Rio we got to know beautiful places, including biosphere reserves, protected areas and historical places. I like my university career because it is the science that studies the endogenous and exogenous processes of the Earth, although it has several branches and I am more inclined to geochemistry, in fact my thesis was entitled: Geological-geochemical characterization of the Pinos terrain, Isla de la Juventud, which I got the highest score and turned it into a scientific article.
Sin duda la considero una de las ingenierías más importantes a nivel mundial porque sin ella no existiera nada, todo se fabrica a través de los minerales, desde los electrodomésticos hasta los cimientos de cualquier tipo de construcción. En Pinar del Rio vivimos numerosas experiencias buenas y otras no tan buenas, pero la mayor enseñanza fue aprender hacer independientes y muy responsables.
Without a doubt I consider it to be one of the most important engineering disciplines in the world because without it nothing would exist, everything is made from minerals, from household appliances to the foundations of any type of construction. In Pinar del Rio we lived many good and not so good experiences, but the greatest lesson was to learn to be independent and very responsible.
Hoy actualmente trabajo en el Instituto de Geología y Paleontología-Servicio geológico de Cuba es un Centro de Investigación, en el cual me siento muy bien los compañeros de trabajo son muy sociables y amistosos. Han hecho varias actividades en la que todos los compañeros nos hemos integrado muy bien. Me encuentro en el departamento de Yacimientos trabajando para varios proyectos entre esos la Cartografía Geoquímica de Cuba, en colaboración con China, eso es algo nuevo que en Cuba nunca se había hecho, la actualización del Mapa Metalogénico y recién termine la Evaluación del potencial mineral de la Isla de la Juventud.
Today I am currently working at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology-Geological Service of Cuba is a research center, in which I feel very well, the coworkers are very sociable and friendly. They have done several activities in which all the colleagues have integrated very well. I am in the Department of Deposits working on several projects, among them the Geochemical Cartography of Cuba, in collaboration with China, which is something new that had never been done in Cuba, the updating of the Metallogenic Map and I have just finished the Evaluation of the mineral potential of the Isle of Youth.
He participado en varios eventos científicos como los Fórum de Ciencia para jóvenes de la geociencia, el Taller de minerales en el MINEM y presente un trabajo en modalidad de poste en el congreso de la Geociencia 2023 en el Palacio de las Conveciones. Allí la pasamos muy bien porque conocimos geólogos, geografos, geofísicos y demás de toda Cuba y del mundo. Se hicieron rifas, exposiciones. Nos encontramos después de un año con nuestros profesores de la universidad en fin fue una semana maravillosa.
I have participated in several scientific events such as the Science Forum for young people in geoscience, the Minerals Workshop at the MINEM and I presented a paper in post mode at the Geoscience 2023 congress at the Palacio de las Conveciones. We had a great time there because we met geologists, geographers, geophysicists and others from all over Cuba and the world. There were raffles and exhibitions. We met after a year with our university professors and it was a wonderful week.
