Hello! My name is Gabriel Milanés, I'm from Havana, Cuba, and this is my presentation at Hive. I am currently a chemistry teacher and passionate about photography, I learned about Ecency from a friend (@katherynart) and I hope that this platform becomes a place where I can learn a lot and help others.
A través de mis fotografías, capturo momentos únicos y lugares increíbles que no solo representan un lugar sino una historia así como sabores inolvidables paseando por la gastronomía de diferentes países. Mi trabajo audiovisual, mezcla la magia de la imagen en movimiento con historias cautivadoras. Elegí estudiar la carrea de magisterio en química en la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas Enrique Varona porque me encanta transmitir conocimientos y poder ayudar a otras personas a enamorarse de la química como lo hice yo. Aprendí a siempre preguntarme el porqué de las cosas y eso se ha vuelto un motor para la búsqueda de conocimiento constante, esto es algo que trato de transmitir a mis alumnos, para que no estudien con el fin de aprobar un examen si no para que aprendan a través de la asignatura que imparto los procesos y reacciones químicas que forman parte de nuestro entorno.
I chose to study chemistry at the Enrique Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences because I love to transmit knowledge and be able to help other people fall in love with chemistry as I did. I learned to always ask myself the why of things and that has become an engine for the constant search for knowledge, this is something that I try to transmit to my students, so that they do not study in order to pass an exam but so that they learn through the subject I teach the chemical processes and reactions that are part of our environment. 
Estoy en busca de poder crear un proyecto que pueda combinar la ciencia química, con la fotografía y creación de contenido ya que son entornos en los que me gustaría crear nuevas habilidades y desarrollarme al máximo.
Además de mi interés por la fotografía y la química en ratos libre me dedico a ayudar alrescate de animales desprotegidos en las calles, en ocasiones colaboro con organizaciones de bienestar animal.

I am looking to be able to create a project that can combine chemical science with photography and content creation since they are environments in which I would like to create new skills and develop to the fullest.
In addition to my interest in photography and chemistry, in my spare time I dedicate myself to helping rescue unprotected animals on the streets, sometimes I collaborate with animal welfare organizations.
On weekends I love to make plans with my family, always have that time of freedom and be able to clear the work of the week, sometimes we go to the ballet, others to the theater but what is never missing is a little getaway to taste a delicious meal. I am sure that the hive community is a space of exchange where I will be able to exploit my creativity to the fullest and be able to share with each of you my photographs, knowledge and projects.
Los fines de semana me encanta hacer planes en familia, siempre tener ese tiempo de libertad y poder despejar del trabajo de la semana, a veces salimos al ballet otras al teatro pero lo que nunca falta es una escapadita a degustar una deliciosa comida.
Estoy seguro de que la comunidad de hive es un espacio de intercambio donde podré explotar mi creatividad al máximo y poder compartir con cada uno de ustedes mis fotografías, conocimientos y proyectos.
