Latidos de tradición [Esp-Eng]

Por estos días, en que Las Tunas acoge la Jornada Cucalambeana, el verso está más "en el aire" que nunca. Se respira, se siente, se comparte... Más allá de las luces y sombras del evento, que siempre es perfectible, la cita deviene una gran plataforma para el intercambio de saberes, hermandad y mucha poesía.
Siempre los tuneros nos hemos sentido orgullosos (al menos los escritores, porque en la ciudadanía hay muchas deudas) con pertenecer a la misma tierra en que vivió Juan Cristóbal Nápoles Fajardo (El Cucalambé), mayor poeta bucólico del siglo XIX cubano, quien este primero de julio arriba al 196 aniversario de su natalicio.
Vilipendiado en gran medida por la historiografía cubana, este bardo con alrededor de 30 años de vida ya había hecho historia. En un contexto de esclavitud y analfabetismo, las personas cantaban sus décimas en guateques y hasta en plena faena laboral, allí, en el surco. Incluso, en nuestros campos mambises.
Sus aportes como criollista, siboneyista y en defensa de la identidad son indiscutibles y nosotros hoy, más allá del tiempo, le honramos a través de la conservación de un legado que honra la estrofa nacional de Cuba.
Este lunes, por ejemplo, en el parque Maceo, de la ciudad de Las Tunas, se desarrolló el tercer capítulo del Catauro de la Décima, en la actual edición de la Fiesta Suprema del Campesinado Cubano. Qué alegría compartir mis versos en ese contexto.
Bajo la conducción de Saimí Torres López y Armando López Carralero, la cita devino otro bonito acercamiento a la estrofa nacional de Cuba y las tradiciones, en general. Diusmel Machado Estrada, Francisco Upierre Casellas, Edan Galo, Raúl Leyva Pupo, Eduardo Rosell, Sandro David Leyva González, Yuslenis Molina Rodríguez, Yeinier Aguilera Concepción, entre otros escritores, compartieron textos de su autoría.
La Escuela de Trova de Colombia nos deleitó con su arte singular, Juan Carlos García Guridi presentó el libro Polvo de aquellos lodos, del mexicano José Antonio Álvarez Yamara, y la camagüeyana Olivia Casanova venció en el concurso Poesía de Cordel, premiado en este espacio.
Eso y más conformó los deleites de la actividad, con la presencia también de tonadistas e instrumentistas de esta y otras provincias. La Cucalambeana, en general, también rinde tributo al 70 aniversario de la Controversia del Siglo, al centenario del grupo portador de tradiciones Petit Dancé, a la cultura canaria y a la destacada repentista Tomasita Quiala, fallecida recientemente.
