Personal Development is a subject in Grade 12 where we are exposed to different things that play crucial roles in developing ourselves. It is also where we discover what causes our stress. The only challenge in this subject is that we are always expose to writing many essays. And now, our PerDev teacher wanted a more challenging output. That's the reason why, she asked us to make a poster about "Stress-management". But what challenged us more wasn't the task itself, it's the time-allotment. She only gave us ONE HOUR to make a poster using cardboard.
At first, I didn't have a clear idea in mind. So I decided to search for different hobbies and drawings for reference.
I then sketched all the things I saw from different references into one, combining them to make a complete poster. I decided it would be better if my “stress management” concept was related to hobbies because I believe hobbies play a crucial role in shaping us. So, I started by sketching a girl with an exploding head (brain in the center) surrounded by different hobbies. This shows how hobbies can help distract us from the things that cause our stress.

After the sketching, I started outlining the important parts using a black ballpen. But since I wasn't able to bring a coloring materials with me, I just borrowed from one of my friends, @miyasomi. Ironically, instead of using pastels or any coloring materials suitable for poster-making, we used calligraphy pens because that was all we had.
Still, we enjoyed the moment while working on the output. When the allotted time was almost over, I started panicking because I wasn’t done yet. I was still coloring my poster! I rushed my strokes because I didn’t want to pass it late. I managed to color the important parts except for the background. So, it didn’t really look like a typical poster since it wasn’t full of colors haha. But I was thankful I was able to pass my output on time.
I even ran to my teacher’s faculty room to pass it. I almost fell down the stairs, but it was so fun. This will surely be part of my high school memories, the time when we shared everything: the struggles, the rushed performances, and the interesting moments.

Even though I did not quiet finish my poster, especially the background, it still look good (for me haha). So I am still proud of myself for trying.
And that was all for this blog. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
