The other day I made a poll on twitter, where I asked whether or not I should celebrate my first anniversary in hive, which was a few months ago. Well, I thought that many were going to recommend me not to, but contrary to what I thought, they rather encouraged me to celebrate this first anniversary in the blockchain, so that's what this post is about, my first year in hive.

Well, first of all, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. You may already know me, or you may not; in any case, I'm just another hive user who arrived a little over a year ago. It sounds short, compared to others, but for me this is an achievement.
A lot of interesting things have happened in this year that I would like to talk about, to celebrate with you the fact that I have been publishing varied, quality and creative content for a year now.
I joined hive on April 28th, 2021. Months passed since I received the congratulations, as a comment, from hivebuzz, about this year that had passed. I remember that at that time I was going through a situation that was very difficult for me to overcome, but that is not the point, the point is that the mood was not to celebrate anything, so I did not do it at the time.
Now, almost 5 months later, I feel like celebrating something and although not everyone makes a post for this, I will do it because it is worth to leave it immortalized in the blockchain...
Who is GaboAMC2393?
Computer scientist by profession, artist at heart. I love art in its various expressions; I am a sculptor, I love writing and I love music. I'm very creative, so that's what you'll find in my blog, variety and creativity.
That's what my profile says. When you write a description of yourself, it is usually a sort of promise of what you are and what you will do. In the final part of the writing in question is written this: “I'm very creative, so that's what you'll find in my blog, variety and creativity”.
Do you think I have lived up to these words throughout that year? I think so.
Variety and creativity
I always see a lot of people commenting on personal branding and all that. I have always seen hive as a part of me, what I am, what I like and what I do. Regardless of what personal branding means, I use to publish in my blog what I like and I really like many things, that's why in my blog you have seen publications of:
Plasticine figures, crafts, graphic designs, traditional and digital drawings.
Stories, short stories, audio stories, poems and multi-chapter stories.
Posts about my personal life: my days in my garden, some recipes, my pets, my days of joy and also my days of sadness.
Other topics that I don't usually publish about, such as cinema or finance, for example...
As you can see, it's a blog where I post a little bit of everything; that is, it's a varied blog. But what about creativity? Well, I don't like to sound pretentious or anything, so I'll leave it up to you, dear readers, to tell me if I've been creative enough here at hive and you must justify your answer. You'll see below that there will be prizes for those who comment on this.
What did you think of Hive and its people?
Generally speaking, the hivers are great. Individually, I have some that I appreciate very much and I must mention them because during this past year they have become really valuable people for me.
I imagine that each person here will have some hiver that he/she appreciates a lot, with whom he/she will have preference for anything, in my case I have two that I hold in high esteem in every hive right now. One of them is a person who has inspired me a lot and who has been an example as a content creator and as a human being. She knows who she is and I'm sure many know who I'm talking about, Isabella (equipodelta). She is a great hiver whom I love very much.
The second, but equally important, is another person who had the opportunity to interview me for the first time in her program and with whom I have shared from anecdotes to complicated moments; yes, I'm talking about Marybell (marybellrg). I also love her very much.
I wouldn't finish the post if I continue mentioning people, but I felt I had to mention them both, because during this year they helped me to stand up here at hive, when I wanted to give up. They both were support for me and gave me a lot of encouragement when I didn't have the strength to go on. From here I send them a big hug and best wishes.
Communities?
I have participated in many communities since I arrived in hive, but there are, again, two that I must mention because they are practically the two homes I have, one is TheTerminal, the community where I arrived. In those days I didn't know anything about hive so when I registered, Miss Britt left me a message in my introduction and that's how I got to TheTerminal discord.
There I learned a lot from great users like Wesphilbin or Stayten, being the latter who made me a delegation to continue posting. There I learned many important things and the language was not limiting to understand each other.
Another community that I must mention is my second house in Hive, the HiveDIY community, where I published almost all my art and crafts posts. In this community I realized how creative Hive users can be, people with great talent to whom I have to take my hat off...
Achievements thanks to Hive?
You see, when I lived with my family I had practically everything, I remember that I didn't need to work too much, although I was used to working. However, after I became independent, I began to see life differently. I remember spending my savings on repairs to my new house and on the things I had to have to live there.
During these three years, almost 4, that I have lived here I have only realized how difficult it is to make a living on my own and the value of things. Before coming to hive I had my job as a computer scientist, but it didn't always generate as much income as I wanted, so Hive turned out to be a great help for me.
I managed to buy technological equipment with which I could perform my trade better and in a way each achievement boosted my self-esteem. That says a lot about how much good Hive can do for many people. Hive saves lives sometimes, I say that with propriety.
Good and bad moments?
There is one moment that I remember very fondly and that was when I won a contest at HiveDIY with my Thanos sculpture. Although it wasn't the first sculpture I did for Hive, it was the first time I felt I could actually win something with my art. Although I had sold one or two sculptures years before (figures I made 30 centimeters), it was very rare that I sold any figures; in fact, almost all of the sculptures I made, I made for myself and occasionally gave them away.
I made my figures for the love of art and not for profit, so I found it interesting and gratifying, to say the least, to realize that here in hive I could generate income by showing the world a part of my talent. That was the best moment I treasure from the blockchain, that's why the post of the creation of the Thanos sculpture is pinned on my blog.
Now, yes there are bad moments at Hive, but I've always liked to see the good things over the bad. There are many good people in Hive that I can help, there are more good than bad here, so for the good ones I'll stay, hopefully for many more years...

El otro día hice una encuesta en twitter, donde pregunté si debía o no celebrar mi primer aniversario en hive, el cual fue hace unos meses. Pues bien, pensé que muchos iban a recomendarme que no, pero contrario a lo que pensaba, más bien me animaron a celebrar este primer aniversario en la blockchain, así que de eso se trata este post, de mi primer año en hive.

Bien, primero que nada, les contaré un poco sobre mí. Puede que ya me conozcas, como puede que no; en cualquier caso, solo soy un usuario más de Hive que llegó hace poco más de un año. Suena poco, en comparación a otros, pero para mí esto es un logro.
En este año han pasado muchas cosas interesantes de las cuales me gustaría hablar, para celebrar con ustedes el hecho de tener ya un año publicando contenido variado, de calidad y con mucha creatividad.
Me uní a hive el 28 de Abril de 2021. Meses pasaron desde que recibí la felicitación, a manera de comentario, de hivebuzz, sobre este año que había pasado. Recuerdo que en esos tiempos estaba pasando por una situación que para mi fue muy difícil de superar, pero eso no viene al caso, el punto es que los ánimos no estaban para celebrar nada, por eso no lo hice en el momento.
Fíjense que casi 5 meses después es que me he sentido con ánimos de celebrar algo y aunque no todos hacen un post para esto, yo sí lo haré porque vale la pena dejarlo inmortalizado en la blockchain…
¿Quién es GaboAMC2393?
Informático de profesión, artista de corazón. Me gusta el arte en sus diversas expresiones; soy escultor, me apasiona escribir y me encanta la música. Soy muy creativo, así que eso encontrarás en mi blog, variedad y creatividad.
Eso es lo que dice mi perfil. Cuando uno escribe una descripción de uno mismo, suele ser una suerte de promesa de lo que es y lo que hará. En la parte final del escrito en cuestión dice esto: “soy muy creativo, así que eso encontrarás en mi blog, variedad y creatividad”.
¿Creen que he cumplido con estas palabras a lo largo de ese año? Yo creo que sí.
Variedad y creatividad
Siempre veo que muchos comentan de la marca personal y todo eso. Yo siempre he visto hive como una parte de mí, de lo que soy, de lo que me gusta y lo que hago. Indistintamente de lo que signifique la marca personal, acostumbro a publicar en mi blog lo que me gusta y verdaderamente me gusta muchas cosas, por eso en mi blog han visto publicaciones de:
Figuritas de plastilina, manualidades, diseños gráficos, dibujos tradicionales y digitales.
Cuentos, relatos, audio relatos, poemas e historias de varios capítulos.
Publicaciones sobre mi vida personal: mis días en mi huerto, algunas recetas, mis mascotas, mi días de alegría y también mi días de tristeza.
Otros temas sobre los que no suelo publicar habitualmente, como cine o finanzas, por ejemplo...
Como pueden ver, es un blog donde publico de todo un poco; es decir, es un blog variado. ¿Pero y la creatividad? Bueno, no me gusta sonar pretencioso ni nada de eso, así que dejaré que sean ustedes, queridos lectores, los que me digan si he sido lo suficientemente creativo aquí en hive y deben justificar su respuesta. Más abajo verán que habrá premios para los que comenten al respecto.
¿Qué te ha parecido Hive y su gente?
A manera general, los hivers son geniales. De manera individual, tengo algunos a los que aprecio mucho y debo mencionarlos porque durante este año que pasó se convirtieron en personas realmente valiosas para mí.
Yo imagino que cada persona acá tendrá a algún hiver al que aprecia mucho, con el cual tendrá preferencia para cualquier cosa, en mi caso yo tengo dos a quienes tengo en mucha estima en todo hive ahora mismo. Una de ellas es una persona que me ha inspirado mucho y que ha sido un ejemplo como creadora de contenido y como ser humano. Ella sabe quién es y seguro muchos saben de quien estoy hablando, Isabella (equipodelta). Es una hiver genial a quien quiero mucho.
La segunda, pero igual de importante, es otra persona que tuvo la oportunidad de entrevistarme por primera vez en su programa y con quien he compartido desde anécdotas hasta momentos complicados; sí, les hablo de Marybell (marybellrg). También la quiero mucho.
No terminaría el post si continúo mencionando gente, pero sentía que debía mencionarlas a ellas dos, porque durante este año me ayudaron a levantarme aquí en hive, cuando quería abandonar. Las dos fueron soporte para mí y me dieron mucho ánimo cuando no tenía fuerzas para seguir. Desde aquí les mando un abrazote y los mejores deseos.
¿Comunidades?
He participado en muchas comunidades desde que llegué en hive, pero hay, nuevamente, dos que debo mencionar porque son prácticamente las dos casas que tengo, una es TheTerminal, la comunidad donde llegué. En aquellos tiempos no sabía nada de hive así que cuando me registré, la señorita Britt me dejó un mensaje en mi presentación y así fue como llegué al discord de TheTerminal.
Ahí aprendí mucho de usuarios geniales como Wesphilbin o Stayten, siendo este último quien me hizo una delegación para poder continuar publicando. Allí aprendí muchas cosas importantes y el idioma no fue limitante para poder entendernos.
Otra comunidad que debo mencionar es mi segunda casa en Hive, la comunidad de HiveDIY, donde publiqué casi todos mis post de arte y manualidades. En esta comunidad me di cuenta de lo creativos que pueden llegar a ser los usuarios de Hive, gente con gran talento ante los que tengo que quitarme el sombrero…
¿Logros gracias a Hive?
Verán, cuando vivía con mi familia lo tenía prácticamente todo, recuerdo que no tenía necesidad de trabajar demasiado, aunque estaba acostumbrado a trabajar. Sin embargo, después de que me independicé, comencé a ver la vida de manera distinta. Recuerdo que gasté mis ahorros en las reparaciones de mi nueva casa y en las cosas que debía tener para vivir allí.
Durante estos tres años, casi 4, que he vivido aquí solo me he dado cuenta de los difícil que es ganarse la vida estando solo y el valor de las cosas. Antes de llegar a hive tenía mi oficio como informático, pero no siempre generaba tantos ingresos como lo deseaba, así que Hive resultó ser una gran ayuda para mí.
Logré comprar equipos tecnológicos con los que podía desempeñar mejor mi oficio y en cierta forma cada logro me subió la autoestima. Eso dice mucho de lo bien que puede hacer hive a muchas personas. Hive salva vidas en ocasiones, lo digo con propiedad.
¿Momentos buenos y malos?
Hay un momento que recuerdo con mucho cariño y fue cuando gané un concurso en HiveDIY con mi escultura de Thanos. Aunque no fue la primera escultura que hice para Hive, fue la primera vez que sentí que realmente podía ganar algo con mi arte. Aunque había vendido una o dos esculturas años atrás (figuras que hacía de 30 centímetros), era muy raro que vendiera alguna figura; de hecho, casi todas las esculturas que hacía, las hacía para mí y de vez en cuando las regalaba.
Hacía mis figuras por amor al arte y no para lucrar, así que me resultó, cuando menos interesante y gratificante, darme cuenta de que aquí en hive podría generar ingresos por mostrarle al mundo una parte de mi talento. Ese fue el mejor momento que atesoro de la blockchain, por eso el post de la creación de la escultura de Thanos está pineado en mi blog.
Ahora bien, sí hay malos momentos en Hive, pero siempre me ha gustado ver las cosas buenas por encima de las malas. En Hive hay muchas personas buenas a las que puedo ayudar, hay más buenos que malos aquí, así que por los buenos me quedo, espero que por muchos años más…
