PINMAPPLE (formerly STEEMITWORLDMAP) [CONTINUED]**
In our May, 2020 TIPS post, we informed you that Steemitworldmap is now Pinmapple. Many of you still had questions on how to to use Pinmapple. Here are some easy instructions:
- Go to https://pinmapple.com/ and zoom-in on the map to find the location of your post, being as accurate as possible.
- Click on the "Get Code" button at top, then click on the location on the map that corresponds to the location in your post. You will be presented with a special code at the bottom of the screen which you can copy/paste into your post before it is published. Any post that has the proper code in it is eligible to be featured in the daily "Travel Digest" curation post. There is a YouTube video of former steemitworldmap if you want to see it :

TAGS & SOURCING [CONTINUED]
Tags. If you have the need to create a tag for your project, keep in mind that the maximum length allowed for a tag is 24 characters. Also, tags will be the reason people read your blog. You have 8 tags on hiveblog.io and 10 tags on peakd.com
Always use as many as you can.

COMMUNITIES
Join some communities. There are a lot of communities on the hive chain, so you get the chance to meet new people and blog in the catergories you like. The advantage is that people that are also in that community will like your post as well.
We as the terminal have a community as well please post there, I know a lot of bigger accounts go there to see what our newest accounts and the Redfish Ralliers are up to.

PAL and SHADE are tokens that can be earned, bought, sold, and traded on the platform. It is another way of rewarding people for the things they do.
SHADE, PAL, CCC, and a few other tokens have some real value and can be traded for STEEM (or other tokens) on https://steem-engine.com/ :Steem:
Some other tokens, such as CAT, aren't worth much and are just for fun.
You can earn Tokens in 2 ways:
- On the blockchain as rewards; and
- In Discord channels as rewards for certain tasks.
TOKENS are held in 2 ways:
- In your Wallets on the blockchain; or
- By a bot on Steem-Engine.
If you are using Steempeak or PeakD, it will show in your wallet, yes. However, if you are using Steemit or Hive.Blog, it will not. (Steempeak and PeakD have a more advanced wallet)
If you are using Steemit or Hive.blog, you have to go to https://steem-engine.com/ and https://hive.engine/ to see your tokens.
ALSO: Any token sent to you here in Discord through the $tip command is held for you by a bot named BANJO. To get those tokens from BANJO into your account on https://steem-engine.com/, you have to use the $withdraw command. The syntax is:
$withdraw 20 SHADE steemname
Where 'SHADE' is the token, '20' is the amount, and 'steemname' is your name on the blockchain.
You can always see the tokens BANJO is holding on your behalf with: $bals

What causes a bad post?
- not formatting or using correct punctuation or grammar;
- not sourcing images or quotes;
Read this blog:

- not engaging after publishing; and
- on a good blog you get a lot of comments but even when you get 3 comments its nice to reply. So always reply to the comments on your blog, a bad blog is one with only comments from readers and fellow hivians that took time to read and respond but didn't get that back.
