Other than the solitary thread-waisted wasps I typically find in grassy areas, I hardly ever encounter these wasps that live in groups. I recently stumbled upon a small group of thread-waisted wasps in the forest of North Aceh. I kept count and they had no more than ten. Compared to most thread-waisted wasps, this one is smaller. They build a sawdust-like, long nest on a small twig. They may belong to the Eremnophila aureonotata species, but this is just my educated guess.
