This morning at around 08.16 WIB, western Indonesia time, I went to a palm oil plantation area adjacent to a rubber plantation in village Serba Jaman Tunong, Tanah Luas, Aceh Utara, Indonesia. And on the side of the plantation road I saw a lot of several types of insects, only the insects I recently posted here.
I continued walking while observing the grass by the roadside until I saw a pair of mating beetles on the taro leaves which were still full of morning dew and their bodies (the beetles) still had dewdrops on it.
And when I got closer, this pair of mating beetles got annoyed and distanced themselves from the camera, until finally when they were a bit tame I tried to shoot again.
Btw, the beetle I am referring to is Aulacophora, a genus of beetles in the family Chrysomelidae. Here are some photos:
