There have been many good sized flies in these parts lately.
Things are slowing down as the days get shorter, and deeper, into Autumn.
I've been able to catch the occassional roaming bee, for her Highness, to eat.
Even the crickets are getting quieter as their breeding season seems to be finishing.
Today, the weather was warm and sunny.
So, I figured I'd place her little box outside.
I used a stick to hold the flap open. I would have hated it if she got hurt with a gust of wind blowing the lid atop of her.
She came outside and sat upon the stick.
I saw that she caught one of those little, fruitfly, kinda flies.
My broadbeans are coming along nicely.
Then I went to do some errands. If she decided to leave then I'd be happy with that.
I came back a little later on and she was still sitting upon the stick.
A couple of hours later I noticed that she was gone.
I was curious if I could track where she was.
She might have been in a neighbouring little plant.
Looking. Looking. I couldn't see her.
C'est la vie
There she is!
She'd had enough of the outdoors & went back to her normal position.
Back inside to keep out of the cold night. Good choice.
