Hey Everyone!!
Do you know who I met today? A chameleon! Yes, it was quite an unexpected encounter. I found it on my way while I was walking, and it completely caught me off guard. At first sight, I felt a wave of fear and instinctively stepped back. But as I was about to safely move away, I got the idea to capture some pictures of it to share here.
At first, I was nervous, but I decided to face my fear (from a safe distance, of course) and started clicking pictures. However, the shots weren’t as good as I hoped because I was too far away. So, I decided to use my phone's telescopic lens to zoom in and take clearer photos. This feature worked wonders and allowed me to get some decent shots without getting too close.
Honestly, I’ve always been afraid of insects, reptiles, and even some animals. I know most of them won’t harm us unless they feel threatened, but I just can’t trust them. My fear often makes me overreact, whether it’s a harmless mouse or even a dog.
Speaking of dogs, I used to love them. I enjoyed playing with them and found them to be wonderful pets. But an incident a few months ago changed everything. One evening, while I was returning home, a neighbor was out for a walk with her big dog and her children. The kids were playing with the dog, and everything seemed fine—until the dog suddenly turned toward me and started chasing me.
Before I could react, it bit my leg deeply, leaving two painful marks on my thigh. The neighbor immediately rushed me to the hospital and took full responsibility for my treatment. I had to take injections and medication for a month, and though the physical wound healed, it left a permanent scar on my leg—and in my heart. Now, whenever I see a barking dog or one coming close, I freeze with fear and can’t move.
This experience has made me overly cautious around all animals, so don’t worry—I made sure to maintain a safe distance from the chameleon while taking its pictures. I didn’t want to disturb it or put myself in any danger. I hope you enjoy the photos of this fascinating little creature! Let me know what you think.
