On the NFC's side of the NFL, the 49ers visit a very familiar foe in the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC Championship. Interestingly enough, whoever wins this game will simply play there again in two weeks for the Super Bowl. The Rams have a chance at doing what the Bucs did last season and win a Super Bowl in their home stadium, SoFi Stadium.

This matchup is fascinating for many reasons. This one is going to get gritty and sloppy and ugly. Just a battle. The 49ers and Rams see each other twice a season as NFC West Division Rivals, and the 49ers have actually defeated the Rams SIX TIMES IN A ROW dating back to 2019. I mean, Divisional games are always tough and in matchups like these, teams do beat up on each other and get some win streaks. But for this to be between two ELITE teams AND for this game to be for the NFC Championship, that win streak for 49ers is an interesting aspect that really can't be ignored. To make that win streak for 49ers more interesting, is the fact that the Rams still won the NFC West despite being swept by the 49ers.
As weird as this sounds, the Rams might actually be the better team BUT the 49ers simply match up with the Rams perfectly, player for player. This is what you get when you have Divisional rivals meet. Just insanity.
The 49ers play bully ball, while the Rams play a more modern pass heavy style. Power vs finesse, that's really what this game is.
This is going to be a tough game for the Rams. But they do have more momentum as a team than the 49ers do, I feel.
The 49ers need to beat on the Rams as early as possible. Remind the Rams why they can't beat the Niners.
It is not easy to beat a team SEVEN straight games, and for that reason many people may think the Rams should win. But I am not so sure. I know rosters change year to year, but this win streak is only three years old. Many of the same players on both sides have been on their teams for awhile.
There's obviously a reason the 49ers have the Rams number. It's up to the Rams to have their absolute best game.
Yikes. This game is for the Super Bowl??? What a treat this is about to be. Both of these franchises have been to, and lost in, the Super Bowl in recent years so these teams want it bad for that reason too!!!
49ers QB Jimmy G can prove a lot of people wrong and just keep winning. That dude gets hate like people personally hate this dude. I don't understand the fascination I really don't. He is average. Big whoop. People are addicted to quarterbacks sometimes. I don't know maybe I'm old school.
Rams QB Matt Stafford is a vet with a lot of pressure on him too. He was brought to LA to be a Champion NOW. He is so close. His legacy would truly begin a massive transformation if he were to get a ring especially in his first season as a Ram.
The 49ers Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Nick Bosa and their bully ball?
OR
The Rams Cooper Kupp, OBJ, Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey and Von Miller?
I think I like the 49ers in this one because of their defense. I guess I have a Super Bowl rematch from two years ago if I'm correct about both Conference Championship games. The Rams and Bengals need to prove me wrong and make a statement!
Let me know any predictions in the comments!
