Kyle Schwarber has had many epic nights in his storied career, but tonight in the City of Angels in primetime he definitely had a night I'm sure he won't forget anytime soon.

The Phillies had not won a series in soooo long, and Kyle said hold my freaking beer boys, we done getting spanked. I mean, I basically said it all in the title.
Kyle started out with a solo shot to lead off the game, and then he had a two RBI double, followed by a three run dinger, followed by another freaking solo shot for some icing on the cake. Video game stuff man. Special stuff for real. Also, for style points, he hit a homer to right field, center field, and left field.
There was a call that Dodgers fans will surely be whining about when the umpires called defensive interference or baserunner interference or something. But I mean, it was a singular debatable call. There's always bad calls in all sports. As a Phillies fan I will take the good luck. The Phillies were applying pressure and had baserunners. They were playing the game, these things do happen.
Even with that call, which was not even super bad honestly, the Phillies also won two challenges I believe and so, they potentially could have had some bad luck themselves.
Also, Kyle Schwarber happened. His offensive onslaught was undeniable. He won the game for the Phillies at the end of the day. If the Dodgers want to cry, perhaps they should have intentionally walked Kyle or ya know, pitched better.
Dodgers are a good team no doubt, the Phillies were simply due. This slump could not last forever. Ohtani went 0-5 too I believe.
Let's hope the Phillies can ride this momentum and put this slump behind them for good. So glad I managed to stay awake for this one!
