Greetings
I find documentation very important. That is why I have started creating these collections as I believe they are parts of conversations that aren't finished yet. Conversations that I will soon be adding to. That is why I think it will be useful to have these collections as they might serve as a great reference for the future.
This collection will be about an idea that was brought to the surface by Arsène Wenger. The idea will basically change the World Cup as we know it by first switching it from being every four years to every two years and second by adding more teams into the tournament.
Part 1: The Introduction
In this part, I introduce all the changes in the proposal and show how the new proposal will have made the most of the football schedule. Maximizing benefits from time year-round. In October you will have your qualifiers and friendlies, throughout the season you will have your club leagues and European competitions, and in the summer you will have an international tournament, be it the World Cup, or any of the continental competitions. At least according to the organizers.

Part 2: The Downside
It is very easy to highlight the downside of the World Cup suggestion as most people seem against it by impulse and with the media and famous names in the world of football making the best arguments that could be made.
Corruption, the system itself, the loss of magic, and the lack of venues that would be able to host so many teams are among the reasons I mentioned.

Part 3: The Upside
In my third and final post to this series, I actually end up finding myself leaning toward the idea more than I am against it. All the negatives attached to the idea can actually be turned into positives with just a little shift of perspective.
Poor nations would end up making more money, more countries would end up seeing their national team in the World Cup, higher revenues in total, and most importantly, it will play a great part in improving African and Asian countries improve their football infrastructure. Yes, it will be less entertaining, at least at first, but should be a reason ahead of all the good things it could bring?
