These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, and injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...
Week 2 is already here and I'm looking to use what I learned in the first week to possibly get in some good betting spots. One match as always on Friday in
Kv Mechelen vs Club Brugge

Club Brugge so far have shown that they are not yet on the level yet of last season but them did manage to win the Super Cup (away against Union) and their opening home match (against Genk) which both were pretty good opponents. Against Genk it was a 1st half where the visitors were better and over the match brugge goalkeeper Mignolet was the best player. Genk however ran out of energy which still allowed Brugge to take a flattering 2-1 Win. After losing Jashari, they now also los Ordonez while Sabbe and Nilsson are still injured. So their team right now clearly is weakened compared to last season and they are kind of building it up again with some good transfers. Kv Mechelen is a team that is regarded quite highly I would say while I don't take them that serious. The fact remains that they have a limited budget and always have to opt for cheap or free transfers isn't really showing signs that they will do great this season. In the first match, they played away against Zulte-Waregem. They took the early lead while it looked like they were playing more on the counter and crawled back more in the 2nd half which eventually brought the deserved 1-1 for Zulte which was a fair score even though Zulte didn't really bring the quality. The talk of the Mechelen coach about the new season was how he wanted to bring back the home reputation. So if anything, I do expect them fired up and willing to do the work at least starting this match. Mechelen is missing raman while Vanrafelghem is also injured and Lauberback is questionable. Overall for this match, even though Brugge isn't at their best yet, the quality difference should be big enough for the odds to be worth the risk on the away win. I'm looking to Oppose Mechelen as I feel they are regarded too high, while Brugge showed that they are capable of winning matches even if they don't play good. I took 0.25 units on
Club Brugge -0.5 @ 1.913 with an eye to possibly take more in-game in case Brugge would fall behind.
