Diego Armando Maradona Franco was born on October 30 in Lanús.
He lived most of his childhood in Villa Fiorito, a slum and one of the poorest and most dangerous places in the city.
His family lived with immense difficulties.
Maradona did not understand why her mother was always upset at dinner time but in reality her mom was not upset but due to the lack of food she gave up her part so her children would not go hungry.
Maradona had a good love, despite everything, and even ended up playing with all this by saying that he lived in a private place, deprived of light, deprived of sanitation and deprived of water.
He started showing his football talent in Vila Fiorito with his friends from the neighborhood.
Maradona played many times with the older boys, ending up humiliating them with his incredible dribbling and eventually becoming the most famous boy in the neighborhood.
After a friend of Maradona's passed the tests of Argentino Juniores and had to have a better member than him in the neighborhood called Diego, he made the coach and the scouts go to Villa Fiorito to observe Maradona.
Coach Francis Cornejo was delighted with what he saw and went to Maradona's house to invite him to play for Argentino Juiores.
Maradona and his family accepted the invitation and Maradona started to represent the Los Cebollitas team, which was an amateur team affiliated with Argentino Juniroes.
During his training, Maradona was already a star of the club and many people moved to watch him play.
At the age of 15 Maradona made his debut in the main Argentino Juniores team in a game against Tallares that he lost.
It was from this game that part of the world history of football began to be written.
He was the best scorer in the Argentine championship and was already the star of the team.
In 1978, due to his excellent performances, he was selected for the Argentine national team.
This year the World Cup was held in Argentina.
However, Maradona ended up not being summoned to the World Cup.
The justification for coach César Menotti, 40 years later, was that Argentina needed mature players to win the title and he still saw Maradona as a child.
If Maradona had participated in this World Cup he could have equaled Pélé as the youngest ever to win a World Cup.
Despite this, Diego Maradona did not give up and continued to score goals and assist in his club.
Detal form that 1980 Argentino Juniores achieved its best classification ever, a 2nd place.
Maradona scored 150 goals in 15 games in the 5 seasons he represented the club.
In 1981 Boca Juniors offered a loan contract to Argentino Juniores to take Maradona. Cyst who wanted to represent his club very much, Argentino Juniores accepted the proposal. However, he "demanded" that a friendly game be played between the teams so that Maradona would say goodbye to the fans of the club.
Nest ejogo Maradona played a part for each team and ended up scoring a penalty goal for Bocas Juniors.
Two days after the friendly Maradona made his debut for Bocas Juniors at Bombonera, with 65 thousand people watching against Talleres.
By this time Maradona was already 10th in Argentina and the main reference for Boca Juinors.
Due to the financial situation of the club while it was playing the Argentine championship, it also played several friendly games to leverage its finances.
In these friendlies, Boca Juniors beat AC Milan 2-1 and lost 2-0 against Flamengo.
His first spell at Boca was very fast, having only won the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Championship by scoring 35 goals in 40 games.
Near the 1982 World Cup, his transfer from Argentino Juniores to Barcelona was negotiated.
He arrived in Barcelona as an idol since the club had not won the Spanish league for 12 years.
The club, in an attempt to speed up Maradona's adaptation, hired several Argentines to help but this ended up making it worse.
On the field, Maradona, despite his adaptation problems, managed to put his talent and help the club.
In the middle of the season, Maradona became ill and only returned after 3 months and could not do better than a 4th place in the championship.
Despite this, he managed to win the King's Cup.
Right at the beginning of the following season, Maradona in a game against Athletic Club suffered a very bad start that ended up taking him off the pitch for 4 months.
When he returns, he is once again highlighted and makes Barcelona fight for the title until the end, which ends up being won by Athletic Club by 1 point difference.
After the fact that they were unable to win the championship and a punishment imposed by the 3-month club, due to a fight that existed in the game of the King's Cup final, he was eventually transferred to Napoli.
When he arrived in Napoli, he was received like a true king by the fans arriving by helicopter to the stadium with more than 50 thousand people waiting for him.
One of the things that Napoli fans adored Maradona was also the fact that at the same time he turned down a proposal from Juventus.
In Napoli's first season he finished in 9th place but in the second season he finished in 3rd place.
The 3rd place was already a great achievement for the club since Napoli usually struggled for maintenance.
At the end of the season, the 1986 World Cup arrived, where Maradona represented Argentina again as his captain and was again World Champion.
This World Cup was marked by the famous goal of the hand of god.
At this World Cup, Maradona ended up showing everyone who criticized his call for his value.
The following season (86/87) Maradona led Napoli to win their first Serie A champion title.
In the 1987-1988 season he was the top scorer in the league and Napoli finished in 2nd place and the title was won by AC Milan by 3 points difference. But at the same time Napoli won the UEFA Cup by eliminating Juventus and Bayern Munich on the way.
At the time 88/89 Maradona returned to lead Napoli in the conquest of another champion title.
In the World Cup of 90 Maradona led Argentina but this time he failed to win the much desired title after losing 1-0 against Germany.
This World Cup was marked by conflict in the semi-final game Argntia vs Italy, which was held at the Napoli stadium.
Before this match Maradona went public and asked for the support of Napoli fans and said:
"For 364 days of the year, Neapolitans are considered foreigners by the rest of Italy and now they want to force you to do what they want to do to support Italy.
I, on the other hand, am Neapolitan 365 days a year."
In the 90/91 season, hell started in Maradona's life.
In March 1981 his anti-doping test was positive for cocaine which made his addiction public and aidna tried to link it to the Neapolitan mafia. Because of this he was suspended from football for 15 months.
During his punishment he decides to return to Buenos Aires, but a month later he ends up being arrested by the Argnetine police completely drugged.
However due to being out of football Maradona tries to end his contract as Napoli through justice and managed to immediately sign a contract with Sevilla.
However, it did not work, as Maradona was overweight and also discovered that the club had hired private detectives to watch him. With all this, Maradona terminated the contract with the club.
At this moment maradona decides to return to Argentina to represent the New Old Boys.
However, it didn't go well here either.
Maradona was still overweight and contracted a lot of injuries and this meant that only 5 games were played.
At this point, Argntina's team was in crisis almost out of the World Cup after losing 5-0 against Colombia and had never won any more titles.
Only Maradona was unwell and depressed.
It was then that a bodybuilder appeared who promised to get Maradona physically ready for the World Cup.
This was achieved and Maradona in 3 months went on to weigh 76 kilos instead of 90 kilos.
Maradona returned to show his value in the World Championship but returned to test positive in the anti-doping test due to some pills he took to help him lose weight and train before the World Championship.
When everything calmed down in 1995 he announced that he was going back to football.
He joined his heart club Bocas Juniors.
Here he showed great football again despite his advanced age.
However, he missed many league games due to injuries and when that happened his team suffered.
In 1997 he tested positive for cocaine again and can only play 45 minutes against River (this is because the judge was a big fan of Maradona).
The game against River was the last game of his career, because the pressure that existed due to the positive test made Maradona decide to end it.
In the total of his career Maradona made 679 games and scored 480 goals.
The name Maradona goes beyond the numbers of his career, as he is considered as a god for his fans who made that in 2000 to be elected by FIFA as the best player of all times due to the popular votes that there were.
Although his name is related to a gift to Argentine football, it also ends up being a burden, since every young prodigy ends up receiving the nickname "the Maradona egg".
This has already happened with several players such as Ariel Ortega, Marcelo Galalrdo, Riquelme, Saviola, Aimar, D'Alessandro, Tevez, Messi and Aguero.
As good as they are, we don't need a new Maradona.
