Real Madrid has been renovating their stadium since last year, and this is the reason why they haven't play in the stadium in quite a while. Last year, since there weren't any public due to the covid policies, they played on a smaller stadium that's usually for inferior divisions of the team. This season, however, the teams can receive public so Real Madrid asked to play the first 3 matches as a visitor to make time for the people renovating the stadium to finish some of the tasks, and now even though the renovation is far from done, the stadium is at least able to receive public.
I am sure players missed having the public present either cheering on them or maybe supporting the other team, and the people surely also missed their visits to these stadiums. The seats cannot be occupied fully but a big percentage of the tickets can be sold without problems. This is also important for the financial health of the teams because ticketing is a big part of their income.
Another fact that made this match special is that Real Madrid recently signed a very talented and young French midfielder called Camavinga. France is currently having a golden generation of talented young players, and Camavinga is one of them. He was signed on the last day of the market and this was his first match in his dream team. To make things even better, he also scored his first goal with the team, which was awesome.
How was the match?
Celta had a great beginning. They were applying very high pressure trying to stop Real Madrid from creating an organized play, and their efforts were successful around the 4-minute mark, which was surely a surprise for everyone, including themselves probably.
The first goal was a mistake from Gutierrez when trying to begin an organized play from the line of defense. Nacho and Casemiro got confused and the ball ended up under Celta's player's control for an easy goal right in front of the goalkeeper. The problem was a failed attempt at passing the ball by Gutierrez, while he was being covered by Celta's players. Real Madrid players could have done a better job in that play but there is also a lot of merit for Celta for scoring that goal.
I would bet no one would expect a goal from Celta that early, and quickly enough, Real Madrid began to act much more intensively and aggressively as they were trying to score the tie.
The best and most electric player in the minutes following Celta's goal was Vinicius. He has been having a good season so far, but his best performances were when he began the match on the bench. Since Bale is suffering an injury, Vinicius was on the lineup for the second consecutive time and was proving once again that he is a big star.
Real Madrid's weak point was their right-back, Carvajal, and the left-back, Gutierrez. Celta was able to create the most danger when creating plays in zones that must be covered by those players. Casemiro was solid, and Nacho and Militao did an acceptable job.
As the minutes continued to pass, Benzema started to make more important appearances and his impact in the game began to increase. Real Madrid was being the most dominant team and they clearly deserved to tie the match but in football, there can always be surprises and unexpected results.
It wasn't until the 24-minute mark, when Real Madrid finally tie the match. The play began with a long cross by Casemiro into the area towards Valverde, who then immediately passes the ball to Benzema, and with a good half volley shot, he scores a good goal. Things were looking better for Real Madrid and with more than enough time still on the clock, winning this match seemed like a highly probable outcome.
However, Celta was able to find a good open space in the defensive zone covered by Gutierrez, and in the 31-minute mark, they scored their second goal. I was surprised to see Gutierrez having such a weak defensive performance, he is very young but I was really expecting to see a much more focused player regarding his defensive duties. This goal caused a lot of nervousness for Real Madrid once again. It would have been horrible to lose the match when the public is finally back to see them.
The final 15-10 minutes of the first half was dangerous for Real Madrid. They were trying to tie, but since they were focusing the most only on attacking Celta managed to have a few good opportunities to score their third goal. Both teams were unsuccessful in their attacks and the first half ended with a victory for Celta. Real Madrid still had 45 minutes to fix this mess.
The second half couldn't have started better for Real Madrid. Not even a minute after the second half started, and Benzema was already scoring his second goal and tying the match once again. This goal was a great header after a perfect cross from Gutierrez. Both the cross and the header were amazing so there was really little to do for Celta's goalkeeper.
This goal allowed Real Madrid to have some confidence in the rest of the match. They only needed 1 goal now and there were still around 45 minutes left to play. It was around the 54 minutes mark when Real Madrid finally took the lead.
Benzema was once again an important player in the attacking play, he made an excellent pass to Vinicius who thanks to his superior speed, was able to arrive in front of the goalkeeper and score a simple goal from inside the area. Both Benzema's pass and Vinicius's entire move were extremely well-done, and this allowed Real Madrid to achieve a well-deserved momentary victory. Benzema's match up to that point was amazing, and Vinicius was also having a very positive performance.
Around the 66 minute mark, something very important happened. Hazard left the pitch after having a so-so performance, and Camavinga, the latest signing for the team, entered and started to play his first match on LaLiga. 6 minutes later, and he was already scoring his first goal after an amazing play by Modric who starting from the midfield zone, was able to get himself into the area, shoot the ball and then the bounce went directly to Camavinga's boots for an easy goal. The player who did pretty much everything was Modric but the goal was Camavinga's and I am sure everyone is happy for him for scoring in his first match.
This goal allowed Real Madrid to have a 2 goal lead, and this certainly reduced their stress by a lot, which allowed them to play even better. Celta kept doing some attacking plays, but the entire Real Madrid team was much more solid and confident compared to the first half.
The minutes continued to go and Celta was getting frustrated for not achieving even a tie after being on the lead 2 times during the match. Sadly for them, their dreams of tying the match were destroyed around the 87-minute mark. Vinicius had the ball on the right side of the pitch, and he attempted some dribblings inside the area that resulted in a very clear penalty and the likely fifth goal for Real Madrid. The player in charge of shooting the penalty was Benzema and he didn't disappoint. A total of 3 goals and 1 assist in what was certainly one of the best performances of Benzema from recent times. Vinicius was the second-best player of the match in my opinion and he also had a great performance.
However, I don't understand why Ancelotti decided to leave Benzema on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes. There are other strikers who could also play such as Mariano, and this would allow Benzema to rest a bit and be fresher for the next match. I thought the same about Vinicius but he was sent to the pitch around the 88-minute mark, immediately after Benzema's third goal and Rodrygo was sent inside the pitch, who is another extremely talented Brazilian winger.
Real Madrid had a good performance, and the only thing that would have made this match an even better one would be to see Ancelotti using the 5 available substitutions instead of only 4. Either way, Real Madrid players are in good shape thanks to the work of Pintus who is in my view the best physical trainer in the world. Ancelotti still needs to improve some of the defensive moves, because they have been receiving a lot of goals so far. In 4 LaLiga matches, they have received 6 goals, which makes them one of the worst teams when it comes to the defense. They are currently in the first position thanks to their attacking performance, 13 goals in 4 matches, but receiving so many goals isn't sustainable and this is something they really need to improve on.
What's next?
The next matches I plan to see are from the Champions League. On Tuesday I plan to see Barcelona vs Bayern Munich, and on Wednesday I plan to see Real Madrid vs Inter. Both of these matches have great teams and I am sure we will see amazing goals.

El Real Madrid lleva renovando su estadio desde el año pasado, y esta es la razón por la que hace bastante tiempo que no juega en el estadio. El año pasado, como no hubo público debido a las políticas de covid, jugaron en un estadio más pequeño que suele ser para las divisiones inferiores del equipo. ¿Cómo estuvo el partido?
El Celta tuvo un gran comienzo. Estaban ejerciendo una presión muy alta tratando de evitar que el Real Madrid creara una jugada organizada, y sus esfuerzos tuvieron éxito en torno a los 4 minutos, lo que seguramente fue una sorpresa para todos, incluso para ellos mismos.
El primer gol fue un error de Gutiérrez al intentar iniciar una jugada organizada desde la línea de defensa. Nacho y Casemiro se confundieron y el balón terminó bajo el control del jugador del Celta para un gol fácil frente al portero. El problema fue un fallido intento de pase por parte de Gutiérrez, mientras lo cubrían los jugadores del Celta. Los jugadores del Real Madrid podrían haber hecho un mejor trabajo en esa jugada, pero también hay mucho mérito para el Celta por marcar ese gol.
Apuesto a que nadie esperaría un gol del Celta tan pronto, y lo suficientemente rápido, el Real Madrid comenzó a actuar de manera mucho más intensa y agresiva mientras intentaba anotar el empate.
El mejor jugador y más eléctrico en los minutos posteriores al gol del Celta fue Vinicius. Lleva una buena temporada hasta ahora, pero sus mejores actuaciones fueron cuando empezó el partido en el banquillo. Dado que Bale sufre una lesión, Vinicius estuvo en la alineación por segunda vez consecutiva y estuvo demostrando una vez más que es una gran estrella.

Este gol volvió a provocar mucho nerviosismo en el Real Madrid. Hubiera sido horrible perder el partido cuando el público finalmente regresaba a verlos.
Los últimos 15-10 minutos de la primera parte fueron peligrosos para el Real Madrid. Intentaban empatar, pero como se concentraban solo en atacar, el Celta logró tener algunas buenas oportunidades para marcar su tercer gol. Ambos equipos fracasaron en sus ataques y la primera parte terminó con una victoria del Celta. El Real Madrid todavía tenía 45 minutos para arreglar este lío.
La segunda parte no pudo haber comenzado mejor para el Real Madrid. Ni siquiera un minuto después de que comenzara la segunda parte, y Benzema ya marcaba su segundo gol y volvía a empatar el partido. Benzema volvió a ser un jugador importante en la jugada de ataque, hizo un excelente pase a Vinicius que gracias a su velocidad superior, supo llegar por delante del portero y marcar un simple gol desde dentro del área. Tanto el pase de Benzema como toda la jugada de Vinicius estuvieron muy bien hechos, y eso permitió al Real Madrid conseguir una merecida victoria momentánea. El partido de Benzema hasta ese momento fue increíble, y Vinicius también estaba teniendo una actuación muy positiva.
Alrededor de los 66 minutos sucedió algo muy importante. Hazard abandonó el terreno de juego tras una actuación regular, y Camavinga, el último fichaje del equipo, entró y empezó a jugar su primer partido en LaLiga. 6 minutos después, y ya marcaba su primer gol tras una gran jugada de Modric que partiendo desde la zona del mediocampo, supo meterse en el área, disparar el balón y luego el rebote fue directo a las botas de Camavinga para un gol fácil. El jugador que hizo casi todo fue Modric pero el gol fue de Camavinga y estoy seguro de que todos están contentos por él por haber marcado en su primer partido.
Este gol le permitió al Real Madrid tener una ventaja de 2 goles, y esto ciertamente redujo mucho su estrés, lo que le permitió jugar aún mejor. El Celta siguió haciendo algunas jugadas de ataque, pero todo el Real Madrid se mostró mucho más sólido y confiado en comparación con la primera parte.
Los minutos seguían pasando y el Celta se estaba frustrando por no lograr ni siquiera un empate después de estar en ventaja 2 veces durante el partido. Lamentablemente para ellos, sus sueños de empatar el partido fueron destruidos alrededor de los 87 minutos. Vinicius tenía el balón por el lado derecho del terreno de juego, e intentó algunos regateos dentro del área que resultaron en un penalti muy claro y el probable quinto gol del Real Madrid. El jugador encargado de lanzar el penalti fue Benzema y no defraudó. Un total de 3 goles y 1 asistencia en la que sin duda fue una de las mejores actuaciones de Benzema de los últimos tiempos. Vinicius fue el segundo mejor jugador del partido en mi opinión y también tuvo una gran actuación.
Sin embargo, no entiendo por qué Ancelotti decidió dejar a Benzema en el campo durante los 90 minutos completos. Hay otros delanteros que también podrían jugar como Mariano, y eso le permitiría a Benzema descansar un poco y estar más fresco de cara al próximo partido. Yo pensé lo mismo de Vinicius, pero lo enviaron al campo alrededor del minuto 88, inmediatamente después del tercer gol de Benzema y Rodrygo fue enviado dentro del campo, que es otro extremo brasileño de gran talento.
El Real Madrid tuvo un buen desempeño, y lo único que hubiera mejorado aún más este partido sería ver a Ancelotti usando las 5 sustituciones disponibles en lugar de solo 4. De cualquier manera, los jugadores del Real Madrid están en buena forma gracias al trabajo de Pintus, que es en mi opinión el mejor preparador físico del mundo. Los próximos partidos que planeo ver son de la Champions League. El martes planeo ver al Barcelona vs Bayern Munich, y el miércoles planeo ver al Real Madrid vs Inter. Ambos partidos tienen grandes equipos y estoy seguro de que veremos goles increíbles.
