What's hurting the most after the end of day 4 is that the South Africa spinners are dominating the Bangladesh batsmen and so many things could have changed if we would have played with one left-arm spinner.
This regret will remain. Because Bangladesh bowlers have been exceptional to be honest in both the innings. Gave away 50-60 runs extra in the first innings, but credit has to be given for taking 20 wickets of South Africa and mostly taken by our fast bowlers in a track which is favouring the spinners more.
It's also an answer to the critics that the bowling against NZ was not a one match wonder. From bowling cluelessly to becoming a reverse swing specialist, Ebadot Hossain has come a long way and so as Taskin Ahmed. Khaled Ahmed was good as well.
Coming to batting, this was absolutely an awful show once again by Shadman and Mominul. It is very difficult to win a Test match if your top-order contribute nothing with the bat in both the innings.
With Tamim coming in the next match, it's the end of the road for Shadman for now. I see a big problem in Mominul's situation as well. He is super inconsistent in AWAY tests and his way of dismissal is even more shocking. The time has come for BCB to think about the Test captaincy.
With almost 98 overs set to play tomorrow, it's quite impossible for Bangladesh to play for a draw. Either win it or lose it. Proteas are in the driving seat, but if Mushfiq-Shanto manages to score 80-90 runs in the first session, then things might chance. The hope of a Bangladeshi fan never dies. Let's try to create another history. 🇧🇩
