Announcement Ladies and Gentlemen! You saw it first here. Tottenham and Sevilla have reached an agreement for a swap deal between the Argentine Erik Lamela of Tottenham and Spanish 20 yr old youngster Bryan Gill of Sevilla,a left sided attacking winger. The paperwork is surely set to be signed soon with Sevilla set to receive €25million as part of the deal. Both players are to join on a permanent deal.

Well if you are a little worried about what Tottenham got, the boy has been highly rated by Sevilla for a sometime now — an AS article from March says he had a €50m release clause and that Sevilla were considering slammings a €100m price on him to ward off bigger clubs from prowling around. So from this perspective, this appears a pretty good deal. That's the lad just below–

This a huge coup for Sevilla, truth be told. This kind of player is only on the bench in Tottenham because of another star player called in Son Heung-min, not that he's not good enough to start for them or any other big club for that matter. I think he has made a terrific move for his career progress. There is the World Cup coming up next year, there is his sublime qualities that can not continue to be hidden from the eyes of the world,by him being benched.
Beautifully for him Sevilla is on the rise having qualified for the European Champions League. They have a sound world class coach at the helm in Julen Lopetegui Agote, who is also the immediate past coach Spanish men's national team(he qualified them for the last World Cup). He also has a point to prove after Real Madrid unfairly sacked him in his immediate past club employment– he's already proving it even.
At 29yrs this is a very wise move for Lamela,a winger/attacking midfielder who previously played for AS Roma and lit up the entire Seria A of Italy with his mind-blowing skill, invention and goals.
He was also part of the Argentine squads which finished as runners-up at the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Copa América. That is apart from the fact that he took part in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup and scored 3 goals in 4 matches for Argentina.

By the way,I wonder why players like the German, Julian Draxler of PSG can't make this kind of move. I just think some players are too good to just be sitting on the bench; move on and let your star shine! See the former Arsenal goalie,Emiliano Martìnez who moved to Aston Villa only in January this year, today he is a Copa America Champion. He would have been in Arsenal now, maybe bragging about how that he plays for a big club; whearas his home country hasn't even taken him as third choice goalkeeper to the just concluded Copa America tournament(just the way Lamela missed out).
I am happy for Lamela, I am happy for the Spanish league, for football, for sports in general. Talents like this should never be hidden. Capisce?
