Desarmando un aire acondicionado! / Disassembling an air conditioner! (ESP/ENG)

Que tal amigos de hive en esta ocasión volvemos al mantenimiento de una forma poco conocida y termino siendo demasiado útil ya que nunca había desarmado un aire acondicionado de ventana! fue algo mas sencillo de lo que pensé y perdí el temor a romper algo ya que siempre supuse que desarmar alguno de estos seria mucho mas complejo de lo que fue ahora vamos a seguir con el proceso.

How about hive friends this time we return to the maintenance of a little known and ended up being too useful because I had never disassembled a window air conditioner! was something easier than I thought and lost the fear of breaking something because I always assumed that disassemble any of these would be much more complex than it was now let's continue with the process.

Le di inicio al proceso desarmando un aire dañado para que por si acaso ocurría algún daño este no fuera costoso ni supondría una perdida, mi objetivo era sacar el motor ventilador del A/C y bueno el camino es largo y tiene que ser con mucha dedicación ya que un movimiento brusco y a dios gas refrigerante en el peor de los casos, y bueno por eso opte por desarmar uno que estaba dañado.

I started the process by disassembling a damaged air so that in case any damage occurred this would not be costly and would not involve a loss, my goal was to remove the A/C fan motor and well the road is long and has to be with great dedication because a sudden movement and to god refrigerant gas in the worst case, and well that's why I chose to disassemble one that was damaged.

Comencé por soltar tornillos identificando cuales son las piezas que se pueden quitar para poder despedazar poco a poco hice el procedimiento como si cualquier error podría dañar gravemente el A/C.

Quite tornillos del panel delantero como trasero y un soporte en la parte superior el cual supongo cumple la función de dar mas rigidez a la estructura.

I started by loosening screws identifying which are the parts that can be removed to be able to tear apart little by little I did the procedure as if any mistake could seriously damage the A/C.

I removed screws from the front and rear panels and a support on the top which I suppose serves to give more rigidity to the structure.

Bueno después de quitar varios tornillos comienza el proceso que me causaba terror el cual era mover los panales, por que me daba terror?, normalmente estos paneles con el tiempo y los años se vuelven propensos a ser frágiles debido a la humedad constante a la que son sometidos y mas que todo el que sufre los daños mas graves es el panel trasero y por ello hay que saber manipular todo esto, claro puede ser que yo también sea un poco dramático en todo esto pero un error y tendría que pagar mucho mas dinero y la reparación que podría hacerse en una hora se vuelve hasta de 3 horas y quien sabe un poco mas

Well after removing several screws begins the process that caused me terror which was to move the honeycombs, why did I was terrified? normally these panels with time and years become prone to be fragile due to the constant humidity to which they are subjected and most of all the one that suffers the most serious damage is the rear panel and therefore you have to know how to handle all this, of course I may also be a little dramatic in all this but one mistake and I would have to pay a lot more money and the repair that could be done in an hour becomes up to 3 hours and who knows a little more.

Moví los paneles con calma y paciencia llegue al ventilador ahora era momento de sacar el motor ventilador del A/C para poder revisar sus rodamientos internos y usarlo como repuesto.

I calmly and patiently moved the panels and reached the fan, now it was time to remove the A/C fan motor so I could check its internal bearings and use it as a spare part.

Batalle un poco para sacar el motor debido a que los tornillos estaban muy pegados por la corrosión y el tiempo que tiene sin ningún tipo de uso, pero luego de un poco de esfuerzo pude lograr el objetivo sacarlo sin causar ningún daño y para poder saberlo tuve que armar de nuevo todo el aire y dejar todo como estaba para poder ponerlo en su lugar nuevamente, claro sin el motor ventilador por que esta seria la siguiente pieza a usar.

I struggled a little to remove the engine because the screws were very stuck by corrosion and the time it has without any use, but after a little effort I could achieve the goal to remove it without causing any damage and to know I had to reassemble all the air and leave everything as it was to put it back in place again, of course without the fan motor because this would be the next piece to use.

Una vez armado y puesto en su sitio era hora de comenzar a destapar el motor y ver en que condiciones estaban los rodamientos.

Once assembled and put in place it was time to start uncovering the motor and see what condition the bearings were in.

Para mi sorpresa y mala suerte los tornillos que sujetan y mantienen bien unido las dos tapas del motor estaban pegados al punto de partirse al intentar aflojarlos, ahora tenia que incluir en el presupuesto unos tornillos pero bueno es parte del proceso, lo genial fue que los rodamientos estaban totalmente nuevos y esto era un alivio ya que podría usar este motor para reemplazar el anterior.

To my surprise and bad luck the screws that hold the two motor covers together were stuck to the point of breaking when trying to loosen them, now I had to include in the budget some screws but that's part of the process, the great thing was that the bearings were brand new and this was a relief because I could use this motor to replace the old one.

Podemos asegurar que el objetivo se cumplió aprender a desarmar un A/C de ventana claro tenemos que tener el cuenta que cada marca tiene su modelo y es de samblaje es distinto pero el principio es el mismo, y claro el A/C que desarme era idéntico al aire que pensaba desarmar después de tener el conocimiento por eso podía usar con libertad el motor de uno para el otro

Esta fue mi experiencia desarmando un A/C de ventana fue algo de mucha calma y un poco de estrés cuando los tornillos se pegaban al chasis ya que implicaba usar un poco mas de fuerza, seguimos aprendiendo cosas nuevas y buscando la manera de hacerlo mas eficiente!

We can ensure that the goal was met learn to disassemble a window A/C of course we have to keep in mind that each brand has its model and assembly is different but the principle is the same, and of course the A/C that disarm was identical to the air I thought to disarm after having the knowledge so I could freely use the engine of one for the other.

This was my experience disassembling a window A/C was something very calm and a little stress when the screws stuck to the chassis as it involved using a little more force, we continue to learn new things and looking for ways to make it more efficient!
