Home comfort has always been one of my life goals. Living in a comfortable home where you can rest at ease after a hard day's work is the most desirable thing for everyone. Being comfortable in that place, of course, is a priority.
Air conditioning has always been one of the appliances that I value the most. Especially in times when the weather has been so hot in my country and the world in general. As you all know, I have an air conditioner LG brand, console type, which I give due care and maintenance over the year.
These preventive maintenance, are those that have allowed the team to have a good performance in its lifetime. Many of them, I have reviewed many in this community that I appreciate and allow us to tell our experiences as users in this field.
El confort en el hogar siempre ha sido una de mis metas de vida. Vivir en una casa confortable dónde puedas descansar a gusto después de una jornada laboral intensa, es lo más deseado por todos. Estar cómodos en ese lugar, por supuesto que es una prioridad.
El aire acondicionado siempre ha sido uno de los equipos electrodomésticos que más valoro. Sobre todo, en tiempos en que el clima ha sido tan caluroso en mi país y el mundo en general. Cómo todos saben, tengo un aire acondicionado de marca LG, tipo consola, al que le doy el debido cuidado y mantenimiento en el transcurso del año.
De hecho, estos mantenimientos preventivos, son los que han permitido que el equipo tenga un buen funcionamiento en su tiempo de vida. Muchos de ellos, los he reseñado en esta comunidad que aprecio y nos da la oportunidad de contar nuestras experiencias como usuarios en este ramo.
I usually schedule two maintenances per year, with the first one in January. My technician is the same as always, the one I trust completely and the one that some of you know from my previous publications in this community. His name is José Campos.
Jose (my technician) and his assistant, his brother Freddy, performed the air maintenance on Saturday, January 20, which was operational and in normal operation. He told me that day, that the console rollers were operational and therefore did not see the need to change them and that the hive of the unit was in good condition but yes, with a lot of dirt.
We are waiting for the next maintenance, to change the insulating rubber cover on the external tubes where the gas enters and returns to the unit from the console when it makes its journey. This has deteriorated due to the external environment conditions as well as the presence of birds that live in nearby trees in the adjoining yard.
Suelo programar dos mantenimientos al año, tocando el primero, precisamente, en el mes de enero. Mi técnico es el de siempre, el de mi entera confianza y el que algunos de ustedes conocen, por mis anteriores publicaciones en esta comunidad. Ël se llama José Campos.
José (mi técnico) y su ayudante, su hermano Freddy, realizaron el mantenimiento del aire el sábado 20 de enero, quedando aparentemente operativo y en funcionamiento normal. Me comentó ese día, que las rolineras de la consola estaban operativas y por ello no vio la necesidad de cambiarlas y que la colmena de la unidad estaba en buen estado aunque si, con mucha suciedad.
Quedamos pendientes para el próximo mantenimiento, en cambiar la cobertura de goma aislante en los tubos externos por dónde entra y regresa el gas a la unidad desde la consola cuando hace su recorrido. Esta se ha deteriorado tanto por las condiciones del ambiente externo como la presencia de pájaros que viven en árboles cercanos del patio contiguo.
The maintenance cost was $40, which I found affordable due to the quality of work of Jose, my technician. Up to that point, everything was going well. However, on Monday the 22nd, my son Gabriel observed that the air was not cooling very much and was freezing. This immediately prompted me to call the technician.
I notified him and he told me that he would come the next day to check it, to see if it was due to a lack of gas, foreseeing that there might have been a leak when the maintenance was done. We set it with the thermostat at a temperature where it would not freeze and in the early morning of that day, I was awakened by a loud noise on the side of the unit. I turned it off right away and also notified Jose about that.
When he checked it that day, he realized that the fan in the unit was detached and the base where it was attached was damaged. He took it away to make it a new and better metal base, returning the next day with it and showing off, in fact, an excellent job he had done.
El mantenimiento tuvo un costo de 40 $, lo cual me pareció accesible debido a la calidad de trabajo de José, mi técnico. Hasta allí, todo iba bien. Sin embargo, el día lunes 22, mi hijo Gabriel me hizo la observación de que el aire no estaba enfriando mucho y que, de hecho, se estaba congelando. Lo cual inmediatamente, me hizo llamara al técnico.
Le avisé y me dijo que vendría al día siguiente a revisarlo, a ver si era por falta de gas, previendo que pudiera haber existido alguna fuga cuando se realizó el mantenimiento. Lo pusimos con el termostato en una temperatura en que no se congelara y en la madrugada de ese día, me despertó un ruido fuerte en la parte de la unidad. Lo apagué enseguida y también le notifiqué eso a José.
Cuando lo revisó ese día, se dio cuenta de que el ventilador en la unidad, estaba desprendido y se había dañado la base donde va encajado, de hecho. Se lo llevó para hacerle una base de metal nueva y mejor, regresando al día siguiente con ella y mostrando, de hecho, un excelente trabajo elaborado por él.
The base is wider and fits better, which will not allow the friction that causes wear and tear when the fan turns during operation. He installed the fan and we turned on the air for the respective gas level check, finding, indeed, that it was indeed lacking gas.
Jose explained to me that it may have leaked through the bases where the gas inlet and return pipes go between the unit and the console since there were originally small O-rings there, which were already worn out due to time. He proceeded to seal the connection with silicone, to ensure that there would be no more leakage and that it would last longer.
What he did tell me is that perhaps in the future, the fan blades will have to be replaced, as they are quite dry due to the effects of the weather. We tested the air and indeed, it cooled excellently and it has already been several days in which it does not freeze and is cooling at maximum capacity.
La base es más ancha y encaja mejor, lo cual no permitirá el roce que origina el desgaste cuando el ventilador da las vueltas durante su funcionamiento. Instaló el ventilador y encendimos el aire para el chequeo respectivo del nivel de gas, encontrando, efectivamente, con que sí le faltaba gas.
José me explicó que quizás se fugó por las bases dónde van las tuberías de entrada y retorno del gas entre la unidad y la consola, ya que allí originalmente van unas gomas pequeñas tipo O-ring, que por el tiempo ya estaban desgastadas. Procedió a sellar la conexión con silicón, para asegurar que no hubiera más fuga y durara más tiempo.
Lo que si me dijo es que quizás a futuro, habrá que cambiar las aspas del ventilador, ya que están bastante resecas por los efectos del clima. Probamos el aire y efectivamente, enfrió excelente y ya han pasado varios días en el que no congela y está enfriando a máxima capacidad.
The best part? Jose didn't charge me anything extra, even though the fan base work is extra. He told me to take it all as part of the maintenance.
Having a trustworthy staff that is also excellent in knowledge and honesty is a blessing. Comfort has a price and thank God, today I can enjoy the goodness of comfort that gives me my air conditioner in this adverse and hot weather.
The next maintenance will be approximately in June. I clarify that everything I tell you here is reported by my technician and what I could see and ask as a user. Thank you for coming this far. See you next time.
¿Lo mejor de todo? Que José no me cobró nada adicional, aún y cuando el trabajo de la base del ventilador, es un extra. Me dijo que todo lo tomara como parte del mantenimiento.
Contar con un personal de confianza que además sea excelente en conocimientos y sea honesto, es una bendición. El confort tiene precio y gracias a Dios, hoy puedo disfrutar de las bondades de comodidad que me da mi aire acondicionado en este clima tan adverso y caluroso.
El próximo mantenimiento será aproximadamente en el mes de junio. Aclaro que todo lo que aquí les relato, es lo informado por mi técnico y lo que pude ver y preguntar como usuaria. Gracias por llegar hasta aquí. Nos leemos en una próxima vez.
