ACCIDENTADO POR UNA FALLA DEL CDI
Saludos amigos de Hive Motors, un descuido me ha dejado una semana sin mi moto la cual es mi preferido y principal medio de transporte, el jueves pasado en horas de tarde-noche luego de venir de visitar a un amigo que se recupera del Covid-19, me quede accidentado pues al caer en un hueco se apagó la moto y no fue posible volver a ponerla en marcha, todo por un descuido y falta de mantenimiento.

Al día siguiente luego de ser auxiliado por mi amigo, probé y no había chispa en las bujías, la falta de corriente me llevo a revisar las conexiones de las bobinas de ignición y probarlas, procedí a revisar los cables y no encontré fallas entonces pensé en el CDI (Ignición por Descarga de Capacitor), este es un componente importante en el mecanismos de encendido de la moto, es un dispositivo electrónico que en conjunto con la bobina de encendido y el magneto generan la chispa que salta en la bujía, en resumen el magneto o estator (imanes) gira en con el cigueñal en un conjunto de bobinas de carga que generan un voltaje de corriente alterna (VAC) entre 70 y 120 voltios que van al CDI el cual alimenta la bobinas de encendido que elevan este voltaje pueda saltar la chispa en la bujía. El CDI es un circuito electrónico que además de garantizar el flujo de la corriente lo regula según las revoluciones del motor y la inyección de combustible, pudiera decirse que es el “computador” de la moto.

Para probar el CDI es necesario un banco de prueba, que no hay en Maturín y la segunda opción es montarlo en otra moto que use el mismo tipo CDI, eso fue lo que hice y resulto dañado. Al CDI se andaba suelto pues la base en la que se atornilla se había reventado y caer en el hueco y golpearse dejo de funcionar, si hubiera inspeccionado esta falla, me hubiera ahorrado 45$ del CDI más 5$ de envío, no incluyendo mano de obra porque después de más 40 años de andar en moto se aprende a resolver, pero lo más engorroso es la falta de repuestos que existe en el país una reparación tan sencilla como los es cambiar un CDI dañado se me transformo en una semana por la falta de repuesto y lo difícil que está el transporte por la escasez de gasolina.

En resumen prendí la moto y con una falla terrible al punto que llame a otro amigo motorizado para que me auxiliara pues nuevamente me quede varado por problemas de carburación, al llegar a mi casa le hice mantenimiento general al carburador, conexiones y la bobina y las bujías y listo solventados el problema.
Este percance me deja algunas lecciones; es necesario hacer revisiones periódicas a componentes básicos y visibles de nuestro vehículo sea moto o carro ya que por vibración o fatiga de los materiales pueden romperse o soltarse, hay que estar atento a cualquier ruido inusual, hacer mantenimiento preventivo al sistema de ignición o encendido combustible y eléctrico (carburación o inyección, bujías y cables), y sobre todo tener buenos amigos que nos apoyen y tu apoyes al momento de quedarnos accidentado.
