After owning my 2007 Kawasaki VN250/250V Eliminator for a bit ovee a year, I stumbled on a deal on Facebook Marketplace for a 2007 HONDA VT750C2 SHADOW SPIRIT 7.
It has 57000 Km on the clock but thats still pretty good for a Honda Shadow that is known for it’s reliability. The previous owner has uograded the bine with a set of Mustang seats and that is so comfortable! The bike also has a BrakeAway Cruise Control installed. The stock exhaust was already modified (baffles removed with a holesaw) so it has a loud rumble.
I had to travel over 80Km to Newcastle for the inspection and rode it back to our place after making sure everything is running fine.
The only surprise I had once home was the discovery of little paint chips under a massive black sticker I haven’t even noticed during inspection. I was probably too excited and might have thought that black area was part of the fuel tank design. Nothing serious and I would probably still have bought the bike but would have appreciated if the seller was more honest.
Nice thing about this is half the price of this bike was funded with Hive!
And a couple weeks later, I managed to sell my 250cc Kawasaki Eliminator and used the money to get some upgrades: floorboards, auxiliary lights, new front tyre etc…
I have done several group ride with my motorcycle club, EasyRiders Australia, and so far its performing very nicely. I’m just going to add some risers extension to get the handlebars higher and closer to me for extra comfort.
This coming Saturday I’ll be doing a longer ride from the Central Coast to the Wollongong in the South Coast, about 185Km.
