Here's my 54th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️
It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 37th week in a row for me.

The perfect run of (just) 2 wins last week propelled my win percentage upwards past the 61% mark 🎉😁. I wonder how much longer this can last 🤣. The higher the are, the further they fall, as it is often said. I'll always try my best though and hope it's enough.
I haven't accumulated enough MERITS yet for any new packs this week, although I'm really close to it. The next brawl will definitely be enough for me to get another one. Not a problem for me though, as I'm still riding high from the previous week's 2 EPICS and 1 Gold Foil from 2 gladius packs. I think I can expect the Law of Averages to leave me hanging with nothing good from the packs for awhile 😅.

As usual, I make an extra effort to rent ✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion✨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.
Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)
Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉
With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles 🧐⚔️🛡️, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

Of ALL the combinations me and my opponent could have gone for, we ended up with a MIRROR MATCHUP?! 😱
At least, that was what it looked like at first glance to me. I had even expected this to result in a "wasted" Draw.
However, on closer observation, even though we both used the exact same Summoner and units, our choice of positioning for the Carrion Shade and Witch of Warwick was different. Little would I know that this would prove to be the difference! 😎
As you can observe in Round 2 of the fight in the screenshot above, both our Tanks, the Cursed Windeku, had predictably killed each other from their melee attack and THORNS ability. However, the opponent's choice in putting the Carrion Shade to be a "backup tank" for his DPS would prove to be his undoing.
Normally, this would be a good choice, as it meant that his Witch could deal one more round of DPS before being brought to the frontline. However, since he was also facing another Gladiator Witch (mine), I instead landed the KILLING BLOW which boosted my own Witch's damage and health. 🤣
This would end up giving me the edge to overpower him. 💪
I would say this was a most interesting fight indeed. It also shows how something as mundane as positional choices can have huge implications on the battlefield. Victory is mine! 🎉

1 WIN! Well, I only faced ONE opponent, so that sole win ended up being a perfect streak for me? 🤣. I'll take it though. It just means almost every other guild gave up on the Gold Foil fray, which will end up being a huge advantage for us.
Hooray to my "perfection" for another consecutive week! 🤣💯
I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

Another 1st place finish! 😱 Everyone in the team is really doing well and making a hard task look easier than it actually is. Once again, it was really close between us and the 2nd place with just 2 wins separating the two guilds. This shows how important each and every win is.
