Mi participación en el concurso de logos de Ragnarok

Desde que me enteré de este concurso pensé en participar por varias razones, la primera es que este juego me tiene muy entusiasmado, siento que será un Boom en los criptojuegos. Y segunda porque me encanta la idea de participar y poder contribuir al desarrollo de este juego.
Since I heard about this contest I thought about participating for several reasons, the first one is that this game has me very excited, I feel that it will be a Boom in cryptogames. And second because I love the idea of participating and being able to contribute to the development of this game.
Sé que no soy diseñador gráfico, pero no puedo negar que no me gusta el diseño, y siento que el arte será uno de los elementos importantes en este nuevo juego NFT en la Blockchain de Hive. Debo confesar que llevo muchos días de intentos fallidos, he hecho un montón de bocetos y ninguno me satisfacía lo suficiente. Además de esto me topé con un reto que puso mi participación cuesta arriba.
I know I'm not a graphic designer, but I can't deny that I don't like design, and I feel that art will be one of the important elements in this new NFT game on the Hive Blockchain. I must confess that I've had many days of failed attempts, I've done a lot of sketches and none of them satisfied me enough. On top of this I ran into a challenge that made my participation uphill.
Al no ser un diseñador digital de oficio mi destreza con apps de diseño es casí nula, de modo que comencé a relacionarme con la App IbisPaintX, aprendí a dibujar y hacer bocetos con capas, pero no soy muy habíl y se me dificultaba hacer un diseño de logo decente y simétrico. También comencé a relacionarme más con la app de Canva.com que permite diseñar de un modo más amigable.
Not being a digital designer by trade my skills with design apps are almost nil, so I started to get involved with the IbisPaintX App, I learned to draw and sketch with layers, but I am not very skilled and it was difficult for me to make a decent and symmetrical logo design. I also started to get more involved with the Canva.com app which allows me to design in a more user friendly way.
Este concurso esta reñido y sé que aunque mi diseño no este entre los mejores, de igual modo me animé a participar por la emoción del juego de Ragnarok.
This contest is very close and I know that even if my design is not among the best, I still decided to participate because of the excitement of the Ragnarok game.
Acá les muestro los muchos bocetos que hice a lapíz de gráfito y ninguno me convenció lo suficiente, solo uno al final despues de tanto dibujar logró captar mi atención lo suficiente como para intentar replicarlo en versión digital. Pero antes, aca les dejo mis bocetos a lapíz:
Here I show you the many sketches I made with graphite pencil and none of them convinced me enough, only one in the end after so much drawing managed to capture my attention enough to try to replicate it in digital version. But first, here are my pencil sketches:
Luego de que uno de tantos bocetos pudo persuadirme, me animé a digitalizarlo. Utilicé Canva porque fue la herramienta que con la que más estoy familiarizado. Utilicé una de las cartas que nos han presentado como ejemplo de los NFT del juego de Ragnarok y utilicé la misma paleta de colores. Este ha sido el proceso de diseño paso a paso:
After one of many sketches was able to persuade me, I was encouraged to digitize it. I used Canva because it was the tool I am most familiar with. I used one of the cards that have been presented to us as an example of the NFTs from the Ragnarok game and used the same color palette. This was the step by step design process:

Hablando del concepto del logo, pues quería unir las dos caracteriticas más resaltantes a mi parecer, la mitología nordica (no por nada se llama Ragnarok) y las piezas de ajedrez. La fuente que utilicé me dio un aire a ambiente vikingo y por eso decidí usarla. Me parecio divertido colocarle la pieza de ajedréz un casco vikingo.
Luego me atreví a experimentar un poco más, y tomé la carta que nos han presentado como ejemplo de NFT, y le coloqué el logo que he hecho, este es el resultado.
Talking about the concept of the logo, I wanted to unite the two most outstanding features in my opinion, the nordic mythology (not for nothing it's called Ragnarok) and the chess pieces. The font I used gave me a Viking atmosphere and that's why I decided to use it. I thought it was fun to put a Viking helmet on the chess piece.
Then I dared to experiment a little more, and I took the card that we have been presented as an example of NFT, and I placed the logo that I have done, this is the result.
