EHON is the upcoming Hive blockchain game based in medieval setting. This post is an artistic showoff of my attempt to participate in Ehon Background Image Design Contest.
Since there aren't any specific guidelines regarding the use of colors or typography.
I first scanned all the already created designs posted by @ehon and their website to instill some visual relevancy and brand consistency.
But the project is still in very early stages and the previous designs seemed to be the workable iterations and not something set in stone.
The only art pieces that must be final are the 'Character Tokens'. So I have used them to add the relevancy factor.
Though such situations provide the required flexibility to transcend the leaps and bounds of your imaginations. I love it personally.
But it also poses the challenge of association.
You might end up creating something irrelevant that doesn't resonate with the tone, voice and vibes of the project. Or something altogether alien. Useless.
I want my work to make a difference, so I try and make an effort to create something that can at least be deemed useful, lol.
