What to Expect from the Daily Pack Articles
Each of these Daily Pack Openings is about 450 words in the template for explaining what Astral Entities is and where to find more information on it. I will discuss every single card I pulled in today's pack in detail making my best, uninformed guesses at how the card will be in the Astral Entities Universe. If you are new to the universe, read below to find out more. If you're already familiar with Astral Entities, scroll on down to What I pulled today for the 500-800 word discussion on today's pack. I hope you enjoy reading this, as I am so excited about this game universe and these beautiful NFT's!!!
What is Astral Entities?

What I pulled Today
While it's never fun pulling a pack with 1 T2 and 9 T2's, I can't help but reflect on all the things I have to be grateful for this past year. One of my favorite things about this Daily Pack article though, as I'm building my writing proficiency, speed, and accuracy is that it displays how legitimately awful opening packs can be sometimes. I have had amazing luck with packs, but even still some packs will never have the hope of pulling an Estimated Value at the current market rates. Packs are gambling until you open enough to even out the EV curve, and all the screenshots every posts of their amazing pulls creates a false expectation that almost always leads to disappointment. Thirty years of opening packs in TCG's has taught me to temper my expectation and fall in love with buying singles. This is the exact sort of pack that reminds me why I don't normally open packs. Happy New Year everyone!
Elf Thug
The Fleet and Quick-Fingered Elf Thug is a T1 Thief with 56 Physical Stat Points, 57 Mental Stat Points, and 60 Sensory Stat Points. It's not yet known what role the Traits, Fleet and Quick-Fingered, in this case will play in the games, but Tanzo and Cryptoreaper did reveal that they would vary from game to game. The Elf Thug's highest stats are 14 Agility and Awareness with 13 Initiative, and his weakest stats are 10 Vitality, Endurance, and Perseverance. His lowest stats seem to be the ones that mitigate damage and determine how much damage he can take, but he's very speedy. This might be that he damages blows with greater ease, or it could mean that he takes more damage in exchange for going first. I suspect it may even be both depending on which game you play him in.
Human Wanderer
The Versatile and Agile Human Wanderer is a T1 Hunter with 13 sprint and all other stats at 12 or 11 for an extremely versatile spread. Nothing Stands out as amazing, but there are also no glaring weaknesses to exploit. He has 57 Physical Stat Points, 57 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points to really illustrate how even spread his stats are. On a scale from Generalist to Specialist, I would say he's very much a generalist Jack of All Trades Master of None.
Giant Grunt
On the Other hand, the Massive and Tough Giant Grunt has an Impressive 15 Might and 13 Vitality. With 61 Physical Stat Points, it is safe to say that the Giant Grunt is a Specialized, Min/Maxed card for Physical Attack. His lowest stat is 9 Intelligence, and he has 55 Mental Stat Points and 57 Sensory Stat Points. The Giant Warrior tree is one to watch in my opinion. I think they will be quite the damage dealers.
Daemon Conscript
Speaking of Damage, the Wicked and Stalwart Daemon Conscript has 14 Endurance and 13 Intelligence and Vitality, so he can take some damage and deal it out decently with 12 Might. While mostly defensive, I can see him being more of an off tank when you want to run a little heavier on offense or when you want two tanks without completely reducing your damage. This is all wild speculation till the game is out, but it's still quite fun to spitball ideas.
Giant Trickster
The Massive and Distracting Giant Trickster has 14 Might, 10 Agility, and all other stats at 11 or 12. With 58 Physical Stat Points, 58 Mental Stat Points, and 57 Sensory Stat Points, the Giant Trickster is fairly close to Generalists on the scale with the exception of her unusually large Might. This is somewhat balanced with Agility being her weakest stat. I personally am not a huge fan of the Giant Trickster Tree, but I do find the idea of a Giant Magician pretty funny.
Human Healer
The Versatile and Calming Human Healer is a T1 Priest with 14 Sprint and 13 Charisma. His lowest stat is 10 Endurance, and he has 54 Physical Stat Points, 60 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points for a pretty heavy lean into Mental and Sensory Stats. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of his stats, but we'll have a better idea when the game launches.
Dwarf Conscript
The Sturdy and Stalwart Dwarf Conscript is a paragon of defense with 14 Vitality and 14 Endurance. The Dwarf Conscript has 61 Physical Stat Points, 57 Mental Stat Points, and 56 Sensory Stat Points. This is a very Min/Maxed Specialist card for Physical Defense. Even at T1, this card could be pretty interesting to play and see in action. Without the games to play around with, it's hard to say for sure. I'm cautiously optimistic about the Dwarf Defender Tree though.
Shadowborne Bandit
The Stealthy and Quick-Fingered Shadowborne Bandit is a T2 Thief with 13 Agility, Perseverance, Ego, and Initiative. He seems to be a bit skewed towards speed stats, but he also seems pretty all over the map with stats on the micro level. He has 56 Physical Stat Points, 60 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points for a pretty heavy slant into the Mental and Sensory Stat Pools.
Elf Healer
The Fleet and Calming Elf Healer is a T1 Priest with 14 Awareness, 13 Agility, and 13 Charisma, and the Elf Healer has 55 Physical Stat Points, 58 Mental Stat Points, and 60 Sensory Stat Points. She has a pretty heavy stack on Sensory Stat Points with Mental only being a few points off, but her Physical Stat Points are all around base line with 10 Endurance, Perseverance, and Vitality being her weakest stats.
