Los Yokai son espíritus, apariciones o monstruos que muchas veces se representan en cuentos del folclore japonés. Quise dibujar a Kijo, que vendría siendo ma versión femenina de Oni, ogro o demonio japonés.

The Yokai are spirits, apparitions or monsters oftenly represented in Japanese folklore. I wanted to draw Kijo, the female version of Oni, a Japanese ogre or demon.

Normalmente son seres malignos, mujeres que han tenido muchos celos o que han hecho cosas muy malas y han sido condenadas a convertirae en las poco attractivas y salvajes Kijo. Sin embargo quise dibujar una versión más bonita y amable de esta criatura.

Usually they are evil beings, women who were very jealous or who have done a lot of bad things so they were punished by transforming them into unattractive and savage Kijo. But I wanted to draw a better looking and friendlier version of this creature.
