Hello, food lovers greetings. for my entry to hive- top-chef EGG i made this simple recipe for one friend who was visiting us.* caramel egg custard*.
Egg custard with only 5 ingredients.
1 cup of milk
1 cup cream
2 eggs
100 gram sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence.
Mix the milk cream and sugar and cook it on slow heat until reduced to 3/4 quantity. and let it cool.
Melt 1 Tbsp spoon of sugar on medium heat to make the caramel.
pour the caramel in the bottom of a mold or round pot. take care it is extremely hot.
Wisk 2 eggs in the bowl. add 1 tsp vanilla essence to the cooked milk mixture. and slowly stir in the eggs.
Mix thoroughly and strain onto the caramelized mold.
Cover with aluminium foil. put one paper towel in the bottom of a pan to protect the mold from shaking during cooking..add water and then the covered mold. cook as a double boiler for 30 min.
here is caramel egg custard is ready. top with marachino cherries and enjoy. thank you.
