
Today I buy green two bunches of longbeans, and I want to crush them with roasted peanuts. Here there are a lot of longbeans at all stores and the markets. I make this for my family sometimes, but I never have showed you all because I donβt have a big pretty mortar.
I thought it is not beautiful to share, but today I donβt care about that, I just want to share different food from my country with everyone. Normally this recipe is made with grilled prahok, and some people use beef or not. This is so easy to make.

Ingredients
- 1 bunch or 20x longbeans
- 2 cloves garlic
- 7 red chilies or to taste
- roasted peanuts as you like
- a little basil
- tamarind taste
- 1/2 of lime juice or taste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt


I just cut the longbeans short like this.

The first time I crushed garlic, chili, salt, sugar, and tamarind very well. Then add lime juice and stir it well. Because I donβt have a big mortar I need to change it to crush in a big bowl and I crush it with the roti roller.

Then I put long beans in a bowl and add paste, then crush it slow very well. After I add roasted peanuts crush it again. Finally I taste and add basil, then mix it together, itβs ready.

Sometimes I make this sour with only lime juice but add a little water. Sometimes I make with only tamarind. I even make it with green tamarind and green mango before.
I've made it with Java cola too, Cambodiands call it kra Sang or Kasang. This recipe we can make as sour as we like.
