It's been one of those weeks with the printer I've been doing some Lithophane for a friend @magenta24 for her up and coming book release and for the first few days I wasfailing and only getting about one in three and on an 11-hour print that really is a pain the issue seems to have been poor bed adhesion and about halfway through and the print moves backward and forwards quite quickly different thicknesses the print starts to topple and move so the top half was all wonky.
I eventually turned the print through 90 deg so the movement was less violent and that seems to have done the trick as most of the movement is now in the gantry and not the bed and something to remember for the future lithophanes.
I've also changed filament for my lithos and I'm now using an arctic white which gives a really nice sepia tone to the print with the light behind it.
Another change of filament was for the Tee light stands and a got some gold fleck PLA not cheap but looks really cool and an absolute pain to print with nozzle blockages all the time. This time it was fixed by moving up to an 0.8mm nozzle another of the big benefits of using the 0.8mm over the 0.4mm nozzle is the print is a lot faster under 2 hours instead of around 5 the detail isn't as good but on the stand its not a problem.
The two together look quite cool and workwell togethe.
