[ENG/ESP] A Chasm Between Day and Night. / Un Abismo Entre El Día y La Noche..

Doing a makeup with landscaping is a delight, at least I think so, and when I do this kind of things time stops for me, and although the view is quite limited when it is pointed through a mirror, it is something that is like a kind of therapy. This makeup represents the abysmal difference between day and night, light and dark, and although it sounds redundant, I made an abyss that separates the two landscapes. I share with you the step by step.

Hacer un maquillaje con paisajismo es todo un deleite, al menos así lo pienso, y es que cuando hago este tipo de cosas en tiempo para mí se detiene, y aunque la vista es bastante limitada cuando se punta a través de un espejo, es algo que es como una especie de terapia. Este maquillaje representa la abismal diferencia que existe entre el día y la noche, la luz y la oscuridad, y aunque suene redundante, realicé un abismo que separa los dos paisajes. Les comparto el paso a paso.

I made the sketch that basically consists of irregular strokes that go from the forehead to the center of the chest, this strip will later become the abyss.

Realicé el boceto que básicamente consiste en trazos irregulares que van desde la frente hasta el centro del pecho, Esta franja posteriormente se convertirá en el abismo.

I applied a base of white body makeup on both sides of the chasm, but on the side where the night will be I applied less white makeup because later I will use dark colors. Basically we do this process to have a layer where the shadows will adhere. On one side I applied warm tones like yellow and orange. On the opposite side I applied blue, black and purple.

Apliqué una base de maquillaje corporal color blanco a ambos lados del abismo, pero al lado donde estará la noche apliqué menos maquillaje blanco porque luego usaré colores oscuros. Básicamente este proceso lo hacemos para tener una capa dónde se adhieran las sombras. Apliqué de un salo tonos cálidos como amarillos y naranja. En el lado opuesto apliqué, azul, negro y morado.

I did the job of applying white body paint to make clouds, the sun and the moon.

Realicé el trabajo de aplicar pintura corporal blanca para hacer nubes, el sol y la luna.

I applied black body paint all over the abyss and then with white paint I made strokes to give depth to the image. I made up one eye in shades of yellow, orange and black and on the opposite side I applied blue, black, white and purple.

Apliqué pintura corporal negra en todo el abismo y luego con pintura blanca realicé trazos para dar profundidad a la imagen. Maquillé un ojo en tonos amarillo, naranja y negro y en el lado opuesto apliqué azul, negro, blanco y morado.
