Initiative: Catrina Inspired Makeup.	Iniciativa: Maquillaje Inspirado en Catrina.
Hello friends, how are you? At the invitation of our friend @alexa.art who has come up with the idea of a catrina inspired makeup initiative, here is my participation. I really like this kind of initiative because it invites us to be creative and participative in our community. It is no longer about publishing a post for the simple fact of having rewards, but we can interact more, get to know each other and get involved in the activities that can be carried out in the future, after all that is what defines a Community. That is why I encourage you to make your respective catrina and share with us your creativity. Without further ado, I leave you with the step by step:	Hola amigos, que tal? Este tipo de iniciativa me gusta mucho porque nos invita a ser creativos y participativos en nuestra comunidad. Ya no se trata de publicar un post por el simple hecho de tener recompensas, sino que podemos interactuar más, conocernos e involucrarnos en las actividades que en lo sucesivo se puedan realizar, a fin de cuentas eso es lo que define una Comunidad. Es por ello que les ánimo a hacer su respectiva catrina y compartir con nosotros tu creatividad. Sin más, los dejo con el paso a paso:

Hola amigos, que tal? Atendiendo la invitación de nuestras amiga @alexa.art quien ha tenido la idea de una iniciativa de maquillaje inspirado en catrinas, aquí les dejo mi participación. Este tipo de iniciativa me gusta mucho porque nos invita a ser creativos y participativos en nuestra comunidad. Ya no se trata de publicar un post por el simple hecho de tener recompensas, sino que podemos interactuar más, conocernos e involucrarnos en las actividades que en lo sucesivo se puedan realizar, a fin de cuentas eso es lo que define una Comunidad. Es por ello que les ánimo a hacer su respectiva catrina y compartir con nosotros tu creatividad. Sin más, los dejo con el paso a paso:

Step 1	Paso 1
I applied foundation to even out my skin tone. Then I applied concealer on the cheekbones, center of the forehead, chin and chin. I then evened out with a sponge trying to keep the areas where I placed the concealer without touching too much, as I wanted to keep that area a little lighter.	Apliqué base de maquillaje para emparejar el tono de piel. Luego apliqué corrector de ojeras en los pómulos, centro de la frente, mentón y barbilla. Después empareje con una esponja tratando de mantener las zonas donde coloqué el corrector sin tocar demasiado, ya que deseaba mantener esa área un poco más clara.

Step 2	Paso 2
With a black eyeliner pencil I made a line on each side of my face going from the hairline at the temple, making a cave under the cheek bone until I almost reached the corner of my lips. Then I applied gray shadow with red to give depth and more pronounced cheekbones. Next I applied yellow shadow around the hollows of the catrina's eyes and started drawing semicircles around them.	Con un lápiz delineador negro realicé un trazo de cada lado de mi cara que va desde el nacimiento de cabello en la sien, haciendo una cueva debajo del hueso de la mejillas hasta llegar casi a la comisura de los labios. Luego pasé a aplicar sombra color gris con rojo para dar profundidad y tener pómulos más pronunciados. Lo siguiente fué aplicar sombra amarilla alrededor de las cavidades de los ojos de la catrina y empecé a dibujar semicírculos alrededor.

With a black eyeliner pencil I made a line on each side of my face going from the hairline at the temple, making a cave under the cheek bone until I almost reached the corner of my lips. Then I applied gray shadow with red to give depth and more pronounced cheekbones. Next I applied yellow shadow around the hollows of the catrina's eyes and started drawing semicircles around them.

Con un lápiz delineador negro realicé un trazo de cada lado de mi cara que va desde el nacimiento de cabello en la sien, haciendo una cueva debajo del hueso de la mejillas hasta llegar casi a la comisura de los labios. Luego pasé a aplicar sombra color gris con rojo para dar profundidad y tener pómulos más pronunciados. Lo siguiente fué aplicar sombra amarilla alrededor de las cavidades de los ojos de la catrina y empecé a dibujar semicírculos alrededor.

Step 3	Paso 3
I went on to draw semicircles around the two cavities and then bordered it with green body paint. I made some details in red and green and painted half of a sunflower on the chin. I applied red lipstick with white touches to give volume and made the characteristic vertical stripes on the catrina's lips.	Fui avanzando en realizar semicírculos alrededor de las dos cavidades para después bordearlo con pintura corporal verde. Realicé algunos detalles en rojo y verde y pinte la mitad de un girasol en el mentón. Apliqué labial rojo con toques blancos para dar volumen y realicé las características rayas verticales en los labios de la catrina.


To finish I applied black body paint to the eye socket. This is how I finished this makeup. Remember makeup artists do your creative splurge and share it with us via #makeuppower.
