Greetings to everyone in the Makeup Power community. Today I'm joining you all to share a new review. This time, I'll be talking about Morphe (X) brushes in collaboration with Abby Roberts. This is the first time I've used these brushes, so we'll be testing out their versatility for makeup. The brushes come in a very pretty faux-leather case and include six brushes of different sizes and shapes, plus a makeup sponge, which I no longer have because I used it a long time ago and it's no longer useful. However, we'll focus on the brushes. Let's begin.
For this occasion, I wanted to do makeup for a photoshoot. We would be working outdoors in bright light, so the makeup had to look as flawless as possible. Aside from the style I wanted to try, it was somewhat heavy and I relied on a dark color palette. I chose a black and red smoky eye, a light foundation for my face, and a red lip. As you can see, it was practically an evening makeup look, with the focus on the eyes. I needed good brushes.

El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña y es que en esta ocasión, les hablaré de las brochas de la marca Morphe (X) con la colaboración de Abby Roberts. Esta es la primera vez que utilizo estas brochas, así que estaremos probando su versatilidad para con el maquillaje. La misma viene en un contenedor bastante bonito de semicuero y trae una cantidad de 6 brochas de diferentes tamaños y formas, más una esponja para maquillar de la cual ya no dispongo pues la usé hace mucho tiempo y perdió utilidad. Sin embargo, nos concentraremos en las brochas. Comencemos.
Para esta oportunidad deseaba hacerme un maquillaje para una sesión fotográfica. Trabajaríamos en el exterior y con mucha luz, por lo que el maquillaje debía lucir lo más impecable posible. Aparte el estilo con el que quería probar, era algo pesado y cargaba una paleta de colores oscuros. Elegí un ahumado de negro y rojo para los ojos, una base ligera para la cara y labios rojos. Por lo que ven, sería un maquillaje prácticamente de noche y dónde el centro de atención estaría en los ojos. Necesitaba buenas brochas.
I used Maybelline liquid foundation, blush, concealer, and a highlighter that comes in an eyeshadow palette I've always worked with. Then, I started experimenting with some of the smaller brushes to apply a load of black shadow, starting from the outer corner of the eye and covering the entire eye socket until blending to the middle of the eyelid.
Utilice base liquida de Maybelline, coloque rubor, corrector para ojos y un iluminador que viene en una paleta de sombras con las que he trabajado siempre. For the next color, I added a red (near the tear duct and up to the socket) to meet the black I had blended. As you can see, the color is quite noticeable, and I was able to blend both shadows quite well, leaving a good result. At this point, I had already added black eyeliner to give a guide to where the eye needed to finish.
Para el siguiente color añadí un rojo (cerca del lagrimal y subiendo hasta la cuenca para encontrarse con el negro que había difuminado. Cómo pueden ver, se nota bastante el color y pude unir ambas sombras bastante bien, dejando un buen resultado. Ya en este punto había añadido un delineador negro para tener una guia del ojo del lugar hasta donde debía terminar de subir.
Here, I had already applied the mascara and lipstick, and since I noticed the red in the shadow was a little dull, I applied a bit of red lipstick I had to enhance the shine and intensity of the red. Here, I finished the makeup, having used four of these brushes: the large one (for adding highlighter), the three thinner brushes (flat-headed, fan-shaped, and the looser one). This was the result.
Aqui ya había colocado el rimel, labial y cómo notaba que el rojo de la sombra era un poco apagado, coloqué un poco de labial rojo que tenía para aumentar el brillo e intensidad del rojo. Ya aquí he terminado con el maquillaje, habiendo utilizado 4 brochas de estás: la grande (para añadir iluminador), las tres brochas más finas (con cabeza plana, abanico y la más "suelta"). I really enjoyed working with these brushes. I think their ultimate purpose and use is to make the makeup job easier and achieve the ideal result. I didn't struggle with them; they pick up a lot of pigment, and the bristles are soft and pleasant. I think this reminds me that sometimes it's good to invest in good tools for my work. I'm not a big fan of buying a lot of makeup or makeup-related items, but I recognize their value. These brushes were a gift I received, but next time I think I'll go get more myself. Me gustó trabajar bastante con estas brochas creo que finalmente la utilidad y función de ellas es poder facilitar el trabajo de maquillar y que el resultado sea el ideal. No batalle con ellas, toman bastante pigmento y el material de las cerdas es suave y agradable. Creo que con esto, recuerdo que a veces es bueno invertir en buenas herramientas para trabajar. No soy alguien que es fanática de comprar mucho maquillaje o cosas para ello, pero reconozco su valor.
