After getting these Judydoll products, it's time to put these to test. I am interested to see how the products would look like on my skin considering that some looked a bit light or not very visible when I swatched it on my arm.
I don't have any base products from Judydoll so I used Mac powder foundation and also put a primer on the eyelids before applying the eyeshadow to see it better on the camera since the primer also helps with showing the colors.
I am using the Play color all-in-one palette in #15 pink taro grey brown which is more of a brown with a slight pink tones. It is neutral I think.
First, I applied the lightest color to put as a base color and also to set the primer so I can blend properly the colors that come on top of it.
As you can see, it is light on my eyes lol. I think on a lighter skin tone, this would show up very subtle.
Next, using the slightly darker shade, I covered the entire eyelids with this color. I think they blended well tbh. The formula is very smooth and it wasn't patchy unlike other eyeshadows that I've tried. It also builds up nicely so it's very easy for beginners to use since it doesn't become too dark all of a sudden.
Then I added the more vibrant one. I put the color closer to my eyes while also blending the rest outwards to create that gradient effect. By doing so, we prevent the panda-looking eyes lol.
Then I added the darkest shade close to the eyelashes so I can get the smokey look. It's honestly impressive how easy it is to blend this. As you can see from the photos, they weren't patchy at all. They blended seamleassly.
I added the shimmery eyeshadow on top using my fingers. I've always found it hard to use them with brushes cos they mostly fall out. With the finger application, it just sticks on the eyelids nicely. :D
I added the rest of the shimmers on the lower lids. After that, I used Judydoll gel and liquid liners on top and lower lids. I like extending the liners on the lower lid in an open-ended kind of way. I find it the most pleasing way for my eyes.
Then I added the lashes, contour, and Judydoll blush #44. I'm honestly loving the contour. It suits my skintone so much and very easy to blend. The blush is a very subtle pink on my skin but it's a bit light so it gives a "chalky" look. It is best to pair it with a more vibrant pink.
Lastly, I added the highlights on my cheeks, brow, nose, and on the upper lip. I also used a Rom&nd blurring lip tint and a Charmiss clear lip gloss.
And this is the final look...
This is my attempt at douyin style although I could have put more emphasis on the undereye highlights and more nose contouring.
Douyin makeup is honestly so nice on me with my facial features so I should practice it more. My favorite product in the eyeshadow so far is the shimmers since they really show up on the skin compared to other brands. It's no wonder this brand has been called underrated. :D
