"Inspired Makeup Look" : The Red Queen

Hoy quiero mostrarles este maquillaje que realice inspirado en La Reina Roja.

Today I want to show you this makeup I made inspired by The Red Queen.

Este personaje no era muy conocido hasta el estreno de la película de Tim Burton, Alicia en el país de las maravillas. Sin embargo, la aparición de esta y su descripción es poco similar a la del libro. En la película, la Reina Roja tiene una gran cabeza, y no es amiga de la Reina Blanca sino su hermana y enemiga, y algunas de las propiedades de la Reina Roja en la película son en realidad descripciones de la Reina de Corazones, entre ellas su obsesión de cortar cabezas y su favoritismo de jugar criquet.

This character was not very well known until the premiere of Tim Burton's film, Alice in Wonderland. However, the appearance of this one and its description is not very similar to the one in the book. In the movie, the Red Queen has a big head, and she is not a friend of the White Queen but her sister and enemy, and some of the properties of the Red Queen in the movie are actually descriptions of the Queen of Hearts, including her obsession with cutting off heads and her favoritism of playing cricket.

Debo comentarles que ha sido un gran reto para mí recrear este maquillaje, me divertí muchísimo jajajajajaja ya les mostraré y compartiré el paso a paso. Acepto sugerencias y observaciones 😂😂😂

I must tell you that it has been a great challenge for me to recreate this makeup, I had a lot of fun hahahahaha and I will show you and share the step by step. I accept suggestions and comments 😂 😂

Inicie definiendo el peinado, pensé que sería complicado sin embargo agradecí tener el cabello con frizz 😊😊😊 ya que me facilito el proceso, aplique un poco de laca para fijarlo y que no se perdiera el efecto sponge.

I started defining the hairstyle, I thought it would be complicated however I was grateful to have the hair with frizz 😊 😊 since it made the process easier for me, I applied some lacquer to fix it and that the sponge effect was not lost.

Luego aplique base en todo el rostro y empecé a aplicar la sombra. En este maquillaje la sombra la aplique desde el párpado móvil hasta arriba de las cejas, agradezco que la sombra cubría y no tuve mayor inconveniente.

Then apply base to the entire face and start applying the shadow. In this makeup I applied the shadow from the eyelid to the top of the eyebrows, I appreciate that the shadow covered and I had no major inconvenience.

Cómo la piel debía ser blanca y yo soy morena 😵 no tenía productos para elegir, opte por aplicarme Maizina quedé como fantasmita sin embargo en las fotos no se nota mucho el blanco, también es que había luz artificial habría que probar tomando las fotos con luz natural 😊

Since the skin had to be white and I'm brown 😵 I had no product to choose from, I opted to apply Maizina I was like a ghost, however in the photos you can't see much white, also there was artificial light you should try taking the photos with natural light 😊

En los labios aplique corrector blanco para luego delinear el corazón rojo, culmine colocando máscara en las pestañas, delineando las cejas y colocando el punto del lunar.

On the lips apply white concealer and then outline the red heart, culminating with mascara on the lashes, eyebrows and dotting the mole.

Una vez lista necesitaba una coronita que no tenía, tomé cartulina de construcción y diseñe una.

One time I needed a little crown that I didn't have, I took construction paper and designed one.

Para hacer unas fotos con mayor parecido me coloque una camisa blanca y sobre ella una chaqueta negra, realmente quería parecerme a la reina es mi personaje favorito de la película.

To make some pictures with more resemblance I put a white shirt and over it a black jacket, I really wanted to look like the queen is my favorite character in the movie.

Y aquí el resultado, espero les guste. Todo fue nuevo para mi sin embargo lo disfruté.
