Make-up is an art form for me. I started applying make-up to my face when I was a high school student because of my older sister's influence. She is good at applying make-up and, because of that, she has been entered into competitions inside and outside of our school.
Like you, I was perplexed before attempting to hold brushes and apply makeup. If I start to apply this and that, of course, the outcome after hours of applying them is not good. Looking for tutorials on Youtube, Facebook, and other social media was not my thing before because I didn't explore a lot, so I just let my eyes watch my older sister apply make-up on her face and when she also fixed my face when we have a occasions in school or in our family.
I think watching her doing it makes me think it was easy to do, but I am wrong because it was hard. However, because I wanted to learn, I decided to study it until I got it, and I followed her footsteps in our school. Of course, I always fix my classmates' make-up when we have an occasion in school. Of course, it's not for free. Because I am not a professional, the fee for doing their make-up is just a fifthy pesos bill. I never tried to join a competition like my sister did, though, because I am not that confident. That is one of my regrets! Because I never experienced showing this talent of mine to other people because of this lack of confidence.
Anyways, for today's blog! I decided to share with you How I Do My Make-up because when I first joined here, I was amazed by how the members of this amazing community did their make up.They are so very talented. By joining here, I think I can be able to practice my confidence in doing make-up right. Actually, I don't have a lot of make-up materials and all of the things that I used just to do this blog are just the basics and old make-up of mine. Sorry, but I think the outcome is good even though I lack materials.
The first thing that I always do before applying make-up is clean my face using clean water and soap. I don't like applying make-up when my face is dirty. Then, I will dry my face in front of the fan because I don't like using a bath towel to dry it. After that,
Time to Fix my Eyebrows
I have thick-natural eyebrows, so I don't need to use an eyebrow pencil to make them thick. That's why I just use eyebrow pencil to fix the messy hair on my eyebrows and you know what? Eyebrow soap makes the hairs of my eyebrows stay and it can't mess up when I go out. That's why I always use eyebrow soap.
Time to conceal the underside of my eyebrows. I don't always do this. But some professional make up artists do this kind of thing on their brows to shape them.
Time to hide the imperfections of my face
Many people around me say that I have perfect skin, but they are wrong because, like them, I have imperfections too, such as: dark circles under my eyes, dark spots, and pimples. That's why I need to use concealer to hide and cover them.
After applying concealer, I also use liquid Foundation.
Just like concealer, liquid foundation also helps to hide the imperfections of each area of our faces.
I also applied face powder but I forgot to take a picture.
Let's fix the shape of our Face
Contouring the side-by-side lines of my face helps me to reduce the shape of my face a little. I have fat cheeks and I like my face to look thin, so I use contour. I don't use this when I do my make-up. It depends on the theme, because sometimes I like my make-up to look simple.
Next,
Coloring the Eyes!
I always use concealer before eyeshadow (you can use liquid foundation if you prefer).
Why? Because concealer or liquid foundation helps to make the color of your eyeshadow more pigmented and blendable.
After applying the concealer, it's time to apply the eyeshadows! This is my favorite part of doing make-up because I really like to blend 3-5 colors of eyeshadow on my eyes.
But...I only use 4 different colors here: Orange for the upper part, below is the red, yelow in the side of my Lacrimal caruncle, and white in the botton lid as a white eyeliner (but i haven't applied the white at this part of my selfie yet).
Give Our Cheeks Some Color
Actually, the first thing that I did was apply blush on to add more color or to make my cheeks bloom, of course! I don't have a boyfriend to make me blush every day, so I will just use blush on. Then the next thing that I do is to put face powder on every inch of my face.
I also applied bronzer and highlighters to the middle of my forehead, upper and lower parts of my lips, and upper parts of my cheeks. to highlight them to make them shine, shimmer, and be splendid.
And that is the end of my make-up tutorial! CHAROUGHT!
Let's make our lips kissable lips
Of course! I will never forget this part. Without applying lipstick, our make-up will never be good if we have dry lips!
Well, I don't always use matte lipstick. I usually just use an oil-based lipgloss, but I think oil-based lipgloss is not suited for the theme of my eyeshadow, which is "Sunset," so I decided to apply matte lipstick instead. I apply a little color red liptint to the upper side of my lips to make it more colorful and blendable, and I use my own rebranding lip tint in the shade Orangenade (a mix of orange and brown color). Muah!
And the finish result after hours of doing it?
I don't know if I did it well. I just did my best and what I could do. I'm not that good like the other amazing and talented ladies here, but I hope you like it!
This is just an example of how I do my make-up. It is just sad that I don't have much make up equipment like:
- Liquid eyeliner
- False lashes
- Contact Lense,
- Eyemascara
- etc.
Because I don't use them often, I'm planning to buy some to use here. because I also like to write more blogs about doing my make-up!
That is all for today! I hope you enjoyed reading this!
