One lifetime is not enough to travel and explore just one country. And what is left for an entire continent then?
Let's take our beloved Italy as an example (Italy is everyone's favorite country, right?)
How many days do you need to explore Rome? To immerse yourself in its atmosphere and fully feel this place. To discover your favorite landmarks and corners, to walk along the small hidden streets and talk to the local people.
One week? We do not believe that 7 days is enough for such an undertaking.
And imagine how many other cities, villages, places and things are waiting to be discovered. Just in one single country.
That's why we're here - treasure seekers and gatherers. And we are creating this community/treasury in order to pay due respect to our native beautiful "Old Continent" full of undiscovered gems.
What to post in the community?
Your favorite things and places in Europe.
We would appreciate if you show us specific spots such as a building of any kind, a street, an establishment, a monument, a sculpture, a clearing in the forest or a pool in a river. Your favorite thing could just be a street corner, graffiti, park bench. But it could also be: a dish, a drink, a certain tradition or custom, clothing, a festival, a certain national trait that you personally like a lot... an entire city, if you like. There are so many possibilities for favorite European things.
And by favorite we mean the one that impressed you deeply, the one that blew your mind, that hit you like a bolt of lightning and you said to yourself - Wow, I love this! This is wonderful!
This obviously leads to the next important requirement: the published posts must be written based on personal experience, and the photos must be taken personally by the author of the post and be their own property.
Photos from the Internet are not accepted, even if they are sourced. Nor do we accept photos that are taken by other people related to the author - friends or relatives. Speaking of personal experience, it should be proven with personal photos as well.
We do not accept historical or any kind of other information that is written somewhere else - on a website or in a book. The community has no requirement to provide any information data, so please refrain from copying, rewriting or spinning texts already written somewhere. If you want to mention some important date or information that only you possess because it was shared with you by a local, you can safely do so, with the full consciousness that it would represent your own thoughts and experience as an author.
The minimum text length is 300 words.
The official language of the community is English.
We expect you to read the rules before posting and always stay tuned for the next updates in this regard.
Be creative, inspired and have fun!
