Hi! I'm Toilet Paper and I'm here to tell you my story and my purpose in this short, but productive life. I am the new guy, I am here replacing my old partner who has already retired and fulfilled one of the greatest purposes in the history of a toilet paper, you will know it at the end of my life cycle, that is, at the end of this writing because yes, at the time of telling you my story I am already retired and I proudly fulfilled my purpose, I honored the legacy of my old partner.

You may have noticed that I am the new guy because of my stocky size, we all start out big and stocky, but as the days go by, we slim down and get even closer to what every toilet paper has come to this world for, although some don't get to fulfill it, I am glad I did.

You may have seen me in many places, you may have heard some people shouting some curses when I am not around, but relax, not everything in this life is bad and I am here to make sure it is, but I am talking about the bad, you didn't think I came here to do something good? No, that's not what I came to do in the nest of this owl who hung me next to his throne.

¡Hola! Soy Papel Higiénico y vengo a contarte mi historia y mi propósito en esta corta, pero productiva vida. Soy el nuevo, estoy aquí reemplazando a mi antiguo compañero quien ya se ha jubilado y cumplido con uno de los propósitos más grandes en la historia de un papel de baño, lo sabrán al final de mi ciclo de vida, o sea, al finalizar este escrito porque sí, al momento de relatarles mi historia ya estoy jubilado y cumplí orgullosamente con mi propósito, honre el legado de mi antiguo compañero.

Habrán notado que soy el nuevo por mi tamaño robusto, todos comenzamos siendo grandes y robustos, pero a medida que van pasando los días, adelgazamos y nos acercamos aún más a lo que todo papel de baño ha venido a este mundo, aunque algunos no llegan a cumplirlo, yo estoy feliz de haberlo hecho.

Me habrás visto en muchos lados, habrás oído a algunas personas gritar algunas maldiciones cuando no estoy, pero tranquilo, no todo en esta vida es malo y yo estoy aquí para asegurarme de que así sea, pero estoy hablando de lo malo, ¿no habrás creído que vine a hacer algo bueno? No, eso no es lo que vine a hacer en el nido de este búho que me colgó al lado de su trono.

Every leaf torn from me is a day less in my life, I do not age like human beings, I age with every leaf less in my cardboard body, we come to fulfill a not very pleasant task, especially when we have to do the job in a nest of chattering birds, like owls that usually have a reputation for clogging the wells.

In a few days I became almost a skeleton, no toilet paper wants to come to this nest, the bad reputation haunts them and now I understand why.

The owl is not alone, sometimes a penguin comes and tears off more leaves than it should and so my life becomes even shorter, don't do that, remember you are tearing off a part of my life, take care of my leaves and you will have me for longer, I assure you and I promise not to do you the evil for which I am here, are you interested to know what it is? Cada hoja arrancada de mi es un día menos en mi vida, no envejezco como los seres humanos, envejezco con cada hoja de menos en mi cuerpo de cartón, venimos a cumplir una tarea no muy agradable, sobre todo cuando nos toca realizar el trabajo en un nido de aves parranderas, como los búhos que suelen tener fama de tapar los pozos.

En unos pocos días me volví casi un esqueleto, ningún papel de baño quiere venir a este nido, la mala fama los persigue y ahora comprendo el por qué.

El búho no está solo, a veces viene un pingüino y me arranca más hojas de las que debería y así mi vida se hace aún más corta, no hagas eso, recuerda que estas arrancando una parte de mi vida, cuida mis hojas y me tendrás por más tiempo, te lo aseguro y prometo no hacerte la maldad por la cual estoy aquí, ¿te interesa saber cuál es? Look at me, I've only been here a few days and I have no leaves left, my life cycle is over, but I won't leave without having taught those two birds a lesson!

As I am writing these lines I am hearing some pretty loud squawking, I think it is the owl who is screaming for help, well, actually the owl is right next to me and I am seeing him desperate, could it be that the penguin does not hear him or maybe he is not in the nest?

Yes, the owl has been left alone, I am seeing him a bit desperate, he plucked some feathers to get out of trouble, while I enjoy and mock the poor wretch who ended my existence too soon and with this I am convinced that I not only fulfilled my purpose of punishing this bird who did not spare my leaves, but I did it to a level never seen before, so that he uses his feathers, look how desperate he is. I think my old partner sees me from wherever he is and is more than proud of me, I can't wait to see him and tell him everything I witnessed.

¡Mírame, llevo pocos días aquí y ya no me quedan hojas, mi ciclo de vida ha terminado, pero no me iré sin haberles dado una lección a ese par de pájaros!

Mientras escribo estas líneas estoy escuchando unos graznidos bastante fuertes, creo que es el búho quien está gritando por auxilio, bueno, en realidad el búho está a mi lado y yo lo estoy viendo desesperado, ¿será que el pingüino no lo oye o quizá no está en el nido?

Sí, el búho se ha quedado solo, lo estoy viendo un poco desesperado, se arrancó unas plumas para salir del apuro, mientras yo disfruto y me burlo del pobre desgraciado que acabó demasiado pronto con mi existencia y con esto estoy convencido de que no solo cumplí con mi propósito de castigar a esta ave que no economizó mis hojas, sino que lo hice a un nivel nunca antes visto, para que utilice sus plumas, mira lo desesperado que está. Creo que mi antiguo compañero me ve desde donde sea que este y está más que orgulloso de mi, no puedo esperar para verlo y contarle todo lo que presencie.

Oh right, I almost forgot to tell you what I came here for and what is that evil I mentioned earlier! Well, this is my purpose in this life:

To leave the owl without toilet paper at the moment he needs it the most!

So, what is the detail that gave me joy today? Easy, seeing the owl's frightened face when he realized that I have no more sheets just when he is out of order after his Friend's Day spree, oops!

¡Ah cierto, casi olvido contarte a qué vine y cuál es esa maldad que mencione anteriormente! Bueno, este es mi propósito en esta vida:

¡Dejar al búho sin papel de baño en el momento que más lo necesite!

Entonces, ¿cuál es el detalle que me dio alegría el día de hoy? Fácil, ver la cara de espanto del búho al darse cuenta que no tengo más hojas justo cuando está descompuesto luego de la parranda que realizó el Día del Amigo, ¡ups!
