Moving across the fields by walking and then shifting to taking flight by air. In between this travelling through train surely gained place in people heart. They can freely carry the huge amount of luggage and the additional facility of birth(the resting bed on which passengers can rest). The time duration although caused some troubling but at initial time this journey was also blessings.
The childhood and train;
Reading stories and poems regarding the train, I remembered the one;
Which produces sound of chakk chakk
Drinks oil and discharges black smoke
Comes in furious way
Magical stuff you would say
Train is the source which takes you away
Covering the journey in night and day
Since this time I have always been wondering when I would get loaded into this magical machine.(i have done most if my travel by road and honestly my explorer spirit wants to test and ride on each mean of transportation, no matter it would break the elite class difference or whatever)
First experience;
For the first time I travelled from Lahore to Karachi via train back in 2009 for the purpose of attending my brother's commission parade. It was a superb experience until our train faced a mechanical issue. Compare the time, same is happening in this era era too. Nothing improvement occurred lol. Good wishes for the betterment (I can only pray, until I get inducted into the firms for implementing my thoughts ).
Good or bad stuff;
Running trees along with the sound and bolts haha, anyone will define the train journey in the same way. But instead of sitting in one place my uncle took my hands(i was hardly 11 years old then) and we explored the whole train. From business to economy class, I saw a variety of people. I kept on asking questions and satisfied them very well. I felt bored as stations were more than I expected and water quality wasn't good enough. Also when I landed in Malir I fell on the ground. Don't laugh, it happened as I got motion sickness.
Again on the track;
After so much time recently I had to follow the same way. Honestly it was a better experience. Maturity and tolerance level accompanied to give this journey a better experience. Facility of Internet signals really motivated me to spend leisure time. What else can I do except blogging and listening to music lol. Serving food improved as the hotel was established by train. Station numbers were improved along with journey time. Bit still train was 7 hours late (read the above appreciation for their department of Railways)
How and why train is preferred;
I met few people who were from different locations. I appreciate their knowledge and struggle. In the meantime we were bonded in friendship hehe the motivating force was the urdu language and food. Little fear in people mind because of accidents. But they have no other choice for sending their goods with safety than this. Also the government restricts military personnel in the Voucher system so they have enjoyed this journey hehe.
Conclusion;
So here are some memories I have had in the form of images. Maybe they wouldn't be enough to show the nice experience I have had. But truly I was impressed to see the Sahara desert lol. Most of the parts of Sindh and Punjab having the train routes are barren. Furthermore the rate of country growth rate can be noticed when you will land on unpaved surface by wearing Adidas sneakers.
