Welcome to my recharge, explore and evaluate sabbatical to South Australia and the southern island of New Zealand. Over the next five weeks, I'll be sharing the experiences and interactions that make this part of the world so endearing to me. My intentions are to reflect on the past year, decide on what brings value to my life and what doesn't, and set intentions for 2024. All while I soak up these amazing places and people.
It didn't start well.
I had hoped to create a blog about this adventure, but the curated collection instructions in PEAKD are minimal and confusing. I've resorted to individual posts for now, hoping I can figure it out when I have an internet signal to work with.
Then there's the issues at home before I left. My internet router stopped functioning, thus disabling my smart home security. On one hand, it's unsettling to know it isn't functioning. On the other, there's nothing I can do from half way around the globe. I was force to resort to trust than all will be well when I get home. Because resolving these issues would require me to be, well, home. A very expensive choice to make. A very disappointing, heartbreaking, etc. one. But a choice.
And thus, I ventured off. Next stop: Day 1 and day 3, and why day 2 never happened. See you soon.
