Hive meetups are one of the most exciting things this platform has brought me - when it really happened and we got to really meet the real persons that we get so familiar for years over the Hive platform, it has always been so whimsical and exciting for me. Always, in the probably ten times (or even more) of my off-line meetup experiences. It's always like this - firstly you will feel a bit like meeting strangers as most are indeed 'strangers' in reality; then the Hive magic will kick in and gosh you will have so many topics to talk about that you feel like you have known each other so well and rightfully so as we are both Hivers!! 😊
That's why I have always been a fan of meetups although I tend to keep my real identity, especially personal photos, off the public space. Unfortunately Covid did not give us this privilege in the past few years, but finally it's getting away!
That's why when I made the plan to visit Melbourne (see my #DAO23 trip posts, mostly in Chinese though) I reached out to @nextgen622 who lives in Melbourne for a meetup! Jimmy and I have known each other for many years since the Steem times and we have been through many things together (mostly were involved with some kind of money losing activities 😆) so I was really excited to talk to him in person!
At the end we chose a cafe to meet in Mitcham, a Melbourne southeastern suburb and talked for more than one hour! We share the same enthusiasm for crypto and there were really so many topics to talk about, from crypto, Hive, family, economy and life ... It's a pity that we didn't have more time as he has his family to take care and I had my travel schedule to fulfill, but it was a great start of a more concrete relationship in life - as we are now more than online friends, but real life friends! 😊
I actually planned to take some photos of the cafe, the coffee that he bought me, as well as a photo together (but not to share online) but I completely forgot until I left for the train station so I rushed to take the photo below to prove that we did meet 😂.
Oh also this - Jimmy actually sent me a photo later that day of his kids finishing the paper lantern I brought as a gift to them. It was Lunar New Year and the lantern festival was not far away.
Anyway, it was another wonderful meetup for me. A bit too short, but still a wonderful memory😊. Thank you Jimmy!

Let's check out the antique cafe first in the old town area of Taipei city, which I have introduced on Hive before (see ☕️上上之選). I love this cafe as I like old stuffs and its coffee and meals are really great. Oh yeah, I picked the place to meet of course.
I was there first due to someone allegedly took the opposite direction MRT/Metro train 😆, but she wasn't really too late at the end.

Actually I had met her quite a few times before in Taiwan. Three to be exact and this was the fourth time. But it has been 3 or 4 years since last meeting. She brought me a small surprise gift! The HIVEFEST stickers that she got from the last hivefest in Amsterdam. Oh, HiveFest... the most adrenaline pumping meetup of all, I haven't got the time as well as the blessing to join one, but I am sure I definitely will go one day...
She actually presented in the last Fest. Another clue for you. 😊
The is the Russian soup served here and it's their signature dish. We both ordered this.
Again we had talked for almost two hours. About things happening on Hive and Hivers, not so much crypto as she is not too into other cryptos, about life in Taiwan and UK (obvious enough now), about life experiences ...

She kept her followers guessing where she went for quite a few days so I was told not to spoil the fun but how can I miss the fun? There goes the 'Atlanis' answer... 😅

過去一個月內，我進行了兩次的Hive見面會呢！厲害吧！一次在墨爾本見了@nextgen622 Jimmy，一次回台北之後見了@livinguktaiwan。前一次是我因為要拜訪墨爾本而刻意安排的，後一次則是意外得知Pauline回到台灣，而且有事到台北一陣子，所以，很幸運地在疫情隔離我們大家三四年之後，可以見到兩位Hive上的老朋友。
J是第一次見面，但其實已經認識很多年了，常常私下交流許多訊息，很感謝他的無私分享，我們其實一起經歷過許多事情，當然啦，多半是跟crypto有關，其中也多半都...嘿嘿嘿...所以嘛~~~ 一起賠錢的會特別有感情（咦？這是Hive CN感情很好的原因嗎？😳）我們約在墨爾本郊區一處咖啡廳，聊到我都忘記拍照片了，真人照不說，連咖啡廳跟咖啡都沒拍，真是太失職了😊，只有上面的車站附近照片跟我送他家小朋友的紙燈籠完成照．．．期待下次碰面。
P就見過應該三次了，這次是第四次了。第一次是5年多前在台北的大聚會，那次好多人去，連甜心美女@sweetsssj都到場，很是盛大，後來都沒有比那場更盛大的了... 那次之後，我還跟P見過兩次，不過這一次是第一次我們倆"姊妹淘"單獨會面，所以可以好好聊聊！（再上一次其實也是三姊妹啦，還有 @joythewanderer❤️）我們比較少聊幣，更多是談談八卦、英國台灣跟人生等等...（像是聊到好久沒出現的@travelgirl😊）最後也是聊了快兩小時吧...
Hive線下見面會，總是聊不完，總是很期待下一次。所以，鼓勵大家，疫情漸漸過去，可以開始約起來了！😊
