When I think of how intelligent we are, I begin to wonder why we could not put together a community. There are many communities on the hive blockchain that are doing well. The Bangladesh community, for example, makes a lot of sense, and they keep helping each other and also extending the love to other hivers that are not a part of their community. Isn't that fantastic?
I know we have many Nigerians on the blockchain, but very few are making the moves to unite as brothers and sisters. Fine, all hivers are one, but everyone knows their origin.
I can say categorically that I instigated the rapport between myself and every Nigerian I have as friends on the blockchain today.
I had a conversation with @belemo a few days from now, and he made me understand that he had tried to bring people together, but many seem not to fancy his good intentions.
Where are we?
See guys, there is nothing like feeling on top. I'm saying this because I know that most of us are always packaging. Make we no package anything for ourselves jare. We all know say na we we.
That's why I will always give kudos to @mathew. He is always original, and I appreciate his style so far.
We all like posting on already established communities
Yes! We all love that. Most of us post on Gem, OCD, Bdcommunity, and others, but we fail to understand that if these platforms don't build their community, we won't have the opportunity to post via their platforms. Rome wasn't built in a day. A thousand miles begin with a step. If we take what belongs to us seriously, the sky will be our limit.
Let's start by knowing ourselves
The very first thing we can employ is knowing ourselves. How many Naija hivers do I know on the blockchain? Very scanty. I knew a couple of brothers during utopian days as they were the most active then, but the fold of the project made most of them back off or maybe I just didn't come across them since then. Some of them are @Harryheightz, @kodeblack, @curtwriter, @dongentle, @chrisbarth, and more. I wouldn't forget to mention @bobler, @derigwe, and others I didn't remember to mention. These guys were/are fantastic. If by any chance they are still around, I would love to feel their vibes as we call ourselves into order and build a new home for Naija people on the hive.
Am I the one planning this?
No. I'm certainly not the one. Someone did that long ago. @belemo already created a discord server for this purpose and has a Naija community on the hive. I'm sure he didn't expect that I could write such post to call everyone together, but the truth is, we need to have a place we can call our own apart from the general home for all called the hive.
Some Nigerians had in the past tried to create communities, but got discouraged, by one thing or another. Should we still allow such a powerless approach to deprive us of unity?
We can do it. It might not look promising at the beginning, but if we are very persistent, the sky would be our starting point. I believe this approach will cause more interaction among us.
I would appreciate if @tykee, @fego, @zoneboy can also support this gathering. @nonsowrites,@josediscussit @mistakili, @julietisreal, are also prominent Naija people I know here. We can all come together and make something out of nothing. The only thing we need is consistency. Please, let's call others. @belemo already created a discord server. We can all join and talk on the way forward. Thank you for your understanding.
Remember say na Naija we be, and we no dey carry last. We get sense boku. Make we chuk am here abeg. Na small small we go dey go. Make we jus get a place we fit call our own first.
Daalu, eseun, nagode. Thank you.
