Hello hivians, its nice being here,I wish you a happy Sunday. Its been a while I dropped a post and chatted in discord but I will tell you the reason in another post. I had the intention of preparing a post related to this topic but when I saw the #hive-naija weekly by @hive-naija on memorable trip, I had to put this down first because this trip was memorable for me. According to my sister, she said its a trip to the end of the earth🤣🤣.

It was November 3rd, 2019 when I travelled to yobe state for my National Youth Service, at first when I saw that I was posted to yobe state for my Youth Service😲 oh my God, I was scared like I've never been to the North before in my life apart from that, that's one of the state where boko Haram do terrorize. When my mum got to know I was to travel to the north, she started praying for my safety and also asking if there was a way to redirect my service to a place closer to home. I was supposed to be in camp on the 5th of November, so I had to leave two days before that day, because from my enquiry it's a two-day journey depending on the driver and traffic.
I searched online to enquire where I can board a vehicle going to yobe state but I found one transport company in Onitsha, Anambra State. I put a call through to their customer service and inquired and I was told that a luxurious bus will be ready Sunday morning. I was at delta state at the moment, so I put my things together and went down to Anambra State the next morning, which is Sunday on getting to the park I was told that no bus was available going to Yobe State that morning, that the bus going to yobe state will be going the next morning which is Monday morning I couldn't just take my bag and go back home I had to find another means. So I broke my journey by going through to Kano state then from Kano state I will take another vehicle going to Yobe State.
I paid for the vehicle going to Kano state within some minutes we're ready to leave, the bus was really comfortable there is a place where I could charge my phone and I could easily adjust the seat any position I want it to be. Majority of passengers in the bus where corp members travelling to different states in the North for their National Youth Service, so the bus was a very lively one. We chatted, made jokes but when we got to Enugu, our vehicle developed fault. I can't really remember the name of the belt but I recall that a belt cut and needed to be replaced and the time this incident occurred was 8 p.m. and where the vehicle stopped was a bit far from the main town. Luckily for us, there was a shop by the side where we stop where they sell drinks and that was the only shop at that area with the lonely road, so if the owners of that shop decide to pack up and go home, it means that we will be in that dark road alone with bushes surrounding us.
We waited for hours for the conductor who went to get the belt needed for the vehicle, we were there from 8 pm to 11 p.m. before the whole thing was fixed. Then we continue the journey, if I should continue with the whole details of the journey that means this write-up will be too long to read but let me give you the highlights, firstly I enjoy the journey because we pass through many state I hadn't been to before, secondly the passengers in a bus didn't make the journey a dull one, then thirdly when I go to Kano I spent the night at my uncle's house but I haven't been to his house before so this is the first time. The next morning, he drove me to the park where I'm to board a vehicle going from Kano state directly to yobe state, he also gave me some extra money😄😄 added to the one I came with from home. Luckily for the friends I was travelling with from Kano state to yobe state he paid their transport fare.
The journey was really a long one spending two days on the road, most people were complaining about the Journey but I was enjoying the journey because it was like a site seeing for me, distracted by the fun I was having I forgot to capture some pictures.
