Man, it seems like some adults are going through puberty or something of that nature. How else do they manage to cause trouble after trouble? It's always an eyesore to see adults fighting in public when the issue could have been settled through dialogue.
I'd enjoy watching fight scenes. The thrill is there and I don't mind watching the extreme ones with a high level of brutality. It just has to be well-choreographed and it also has to be in a movie. When it comes to real life, I prefer everything to be settled with dialogue. Hehe.
So, it happened that I witnessed two fight scenes today on my way to UCH (University College Hospital) Ibadan. First at Samonda park along UI area and the second at Mokola. I just saw the scenes, I didn't watch it and I seriously didn't bother to know what was going on. I had more pressing business to take care of.
So, which business did I have at UCH?
Do recall that UCH is a hospital. What else could have made me go to the hospital?
Nope, I'm not sick. I was scheduled for an appointment with their vaccination unit. To be more specific, the Covid19 vaccination unit. Screams! Louder 🌝
I spent my first 3 months in Ibadan without hearing or knowing anything about 'UCH' until last month when it became important for me to be vaccinated. I enquired and I was informed that I can get the vaccine at UCH. That's how my teeny tiny affair with this hospital started.
Today is the 4th day I'm visiting there within the space of two weeks.
I've never been a big fan of hospitals. Perceiving the smell of drugs, seeing doctors with their lab coats, coming across all sorts of patients and their caretakers usually gives me chills. Thankfully, the vaccination unit in UCH is separate from the other sections. The place doesn't smell like a hospital. The staff are casually dressed and of course, you don't see sick people lined up for vaccination.
I took my first dose of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid19 vaccine on 18th January and I was asked to come back today for my vaccination card and also to know when I will come for the second dose.
Everything happened within secs. They arranged the cards properly so getting mine was just a matter of "What is your name?" and "My name is bla bla..." like in primary school days.
Easy Peasy!
My second vaccination would be on 8th February.
I left as soon as I got my card. You know, spending too much time in a hospital can make a healthy person feel sick. Haha. On my way out, I took a few wacky pictures.
