Nope, not in a movie.
It's also not a zombie apocalypse.
That is a replica of what I saw in the early hours of this day. A young man in his early 30s making a fool of himself and staggering all over the street after consuming an unprintable amount of alcohol in addition to other hard drugs.
From the look of it, he also looks like a family man with a nice wife and beautiful kids who probably waited all through the night to see Daddy (As my Yoruba folks will always say, "Daddy ko, Dada ni").
Hmmm... It's very ludicrous!
The man was already wasted, and he almost fell inside a gutter while staggering from side to side on the dusty street. It wasn't funny, but I couldn't help myself. That's probably because I had a weird Afro jam buzzing in my earpiece.
When I saw the type of effort the man was making to be able to walk, it made me realize that walking is one of those things that shouldn't be taken for granted anymore.
Never...ever!
Long story short, it's important to note that I don't know the whole story.
I don't know if he decided to knock himself out with alcohol after losing a job or if he was disrespected by his wife and he decided to find solace with alcohol. To be fair, it's possible to assume that he was feeling too cold in this hot weather so, he decided to warm himself up with alcohol.
Did I even type that? 🤦
Frankly, I don't have a soft spot for drug addicts or people that don't know when to press the stop button whenever they are taking alcohol. We have a lot of them here. Many youths are also wasting their youthfulness on excessive intake of alcohol and hard drugs.
I can remember having a good chat with @selfhelp4trolls about how people react to stuff like this in different parts of the world. I can also remember being plain when I told him my stand on such stuff. Hehe.
I don't want to be seeing stuff like this, but thankfully, I got to write this post after crossing paths with a drunk this morning.
Funny. Isn't it?
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma
