Hello my naija people. How una dey? So it's my first post here. Felt it's time for me to make my presence known, my name is OKIKI and I'm a poet.
As we all know naija is what it is and we still have to find a way to survive regardless,na wetin I find come hive be that sef lol.
Our daily struggles are as real as that salary that will never be enough, those bills that seem to spring up from nowhere. Don't even get me started on the various unnecessary taxes and levies introduced daily, especially in Lagos. It's almost as if they want to choke up the spirit of the daily hustler.
If you take a stroll today, you can see enough mishap to discourage you. Before you know it you're already thinking of what corners you can cut too just like our leaders have been doing before some of us were born.
The frustration has pushed so many to taking illegal steps to make ends meet, their goal really isn't to steal,it is to survive.
Well the right path is still the good path regardless of how easy it seems to cut corners. So put your back into that 'hustle' even when it threatens to break your spine. Do not pick up bad traits or cut corners while at it even when it looks like that's your best play. Harness the resolve of steel.
Ginger!
Below is a poem I wrote and I've been able to interprete in various ways. Everything I've said so far is one of such interpretation. Feel free to share yours in the comment section.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing it.
Bless up my people! ❤️🙏
Don't give in to those bad impulses, your legit huslte go still pay!
