The first sentence of this song FATHER TO CHILD, is being recognizing God as your only father and as a father he has our responsibility right. By your words alone I am being enlightened and come alive and without you I'm nothing. This is just the simple interpretation. The bible says he breathed into our nostril and man became a living being.
Jesus as the great physician cannot work in you except you allow him in your life. For instance the early doctors, they wouldn't force you but when you surrender that is showing total submittion and being ready to do what they ask of you that is when they can be glad to heal or help you, same as Jesus. Acceptance is very important.
