Hello Hive and Hive Open Mic family, how have you been? I hope the week has been very productive and successful for all of you and that God's blessing is always with you in every step you take. Today I am pleased to join once again this world stage to share music with you and disconnect for a few minutes from the day to day.
Since I was a child I was very interested in the English language, in fact my parents dreamed of taking me one day to the United States to visit Disney and its attractions, something that never happened mainly for economic reasons. I didn't take courses, I just studied a lot with what I learned at school, however, when they bought me my first VHS, my interest increased and I watched many movies with subtitles to better understand the pronunciation and intonation of words and phrases. Years later, video games came into my life and it was they that taught me to speak my English better and to write it more accurately.
In my adolescence, I started to know electronic and pop music, rock music had not arrived to my life yet. I remember that one of the first cassettes I was given was a compilation of world artists called Now and this song “Lemon Tree” was there, plus it was played daily on the radio; the great thing was that this cassette had the lyrics of all the songs and I immediately focused on learning this song that even today I still love because it was the first song I learned in English, an achievement that I celebrated a lot and my parents were surprised when they heard me singing it back then.
This song belongs to the 3rd studio album of the German band Fool's Garden released in 1995. It is a very peculiar mix of sixties and seventies rock with a circus rhythm that expresses innocence, curiosity and fun. Possibly many of you have heard it once as it dominated the music charts of the nineties overwhelmingly, giving the band recognition for a long time. Since the original voice is too high for my vocal range, I decided to keep exploring with my natural voice to continue improving my control of it in all technical aspects.

Hola familia de Hive y del Hive Open Mic, como han estado? espero que la semana haya sido muy productiva y exitosa para todos y que la bendición de Dios siempre les acompañe en cada paso que den. Hoy me complace unirme una vez más a esta tarima mundial para compartir música con ustedes y desconectarnos unos minutos del día a día.
Desde pequeño me interesó mucho el idioma inglés, de hecho mis papás soñaban con llevarme algún día a Estados Unidos a conocer Disney y sus atracciones, algo que nunca ocurrió por motivos económicos principalmente. Yo no hice cursos, solo estudiaba mucho con lo que aprendía en el colegio, sin embargo, cuando me compraron mi primer VHS, mi interés aumentó y veía muchas películas subtituladas para entender mejor la pronunciación y entonación de las palabras y frases. Años más tarde aparecieron los videojuegos en mi vida y fueron ellos los que me enseñaron a hablar mejor mi inglés y a escribirlo con más precisión.
En mi adolescencia, empecé a conocer la música electrónica y el pop, el rock no había llegado a mi vida aún. Recuerdo que uno de los primeros casetes que me regalaron era un compilado de artistas mundiales llamado Now y esta canción "Lemon Tree" estaba ahí, además que en la radio sonaba a diario; lo genial era que este casete traía la letra de todas las canciones y me enfoqué inmediatamente en aprenderme esta canción que incluso hoy sigo amando porque fue la primera canción que me aprendí en inglés, un logro que celebré mucho y del cual mis papás se sorprendieron cuando me escuchaban cantarla en aquel entonces.
Esta canción pertenece al 3er álbum de estudio de la banda alemana Fool's Garden lanzado en el año 1995. Es una mezcla muy peculiar de rock de los sesenta y setenta con un ritmo circense que expresa inocencia, curiosidad y diversión. Posiblemente muchos de ustedes la hayan escuchado alguna vez ya que dominó las carteleras musicales de los noventa de forma abrumadora, dándole a la banda reconocimiento por mucho tiempo. En vista de que la voz original es muy alta para mi registro vocal, decidí seguir explorando con mi voz natural para continuar mejorando el control de la misma en todos los aspectos técnicos.
